Malaysian Grand Prix 2014, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

Both Mercedes cars sat at the end of the pit lane already. That cylinder drop system is stonking. Surprised a couple of Renault powered cars are doing it though.

I think the problem is the inters are a bit too good. The work in quite a lot of rain, meaning you would only switch to wets in weather that is bad enough to make the cars float anyway.

Also they have ramped up the track side volume. Commentators and engine noise is around equal volume again now.

More rain :(

Vettel with battery issues. They always have had these issues, but the batteries are much more important this year. Shame we didn't have these rules sooner, RB wouldn't have been anywhere.

Ferrari make me sad :( They haven't had a front running car in years. I really hope they can develop but the Mercedes seems imperious in all conditions.

Edit: Impressive lap from Vettel!

Why is Hamilton so much slower than Rosberg in S1?

He's quicker in S2 and 3 but so much slower in S1 that his overall lap time is a tenth down…

Saving power, has his car set up to use boost differently. Errm, wasn't there a thing in practice where Hamilton wasn't using DRS, that would hurt your S1 times.

Meh, Hamilton/Alonso more than most save everything till Q3. Both have rarely pushed overly hard in q1/q2 when not required yet pull it out the bag in q3 when required.
