Malaysian Grand Prix 2014, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

Saving power, has his car set up to use boost differently. Errm, wasn't there a thing in practice where Hamilton wasn't using DRS, that would hurt your S1 times.

Meh, Hamilton/Alonso more than most save everything till Q3. Both have rarely pushed overly hard in q1/q2 when not required yet pull it out the bag in q3 when required.

Hope you're right! :)

Hard to get a read on Williams, felt fast in preseason, showed strong pace in race but second qualifying in which they look "meh" at best. Just crap in the wet, or unlucky, or do people think they'll be slow when it comes to a proper dry qualifying as well?

Some brave people there.

Alonso, Raikkonen and Bottas on inters. And Alonso and Raikkonen are on used inters.

Red flags. Please not because it's raining.

Can't really tell how he might have taken the corner, but the Ferrari was going absurdly slow to be fair.

I think both at fault a bit, Kvyat should have left more room but then Alonso has to realise that they will be fighting for track position, going SO slow while also going wider than seemingly everyone, it did look a bit like he was saying "go past me" then he just cut the corner really tight for no real reason.

Still not sure why their was a red, for a tiny bit of debris? I guess with poor visibility debris can be more risky.

If Bottas keeps it on the track and the other guys on wets clear it a bit over 2-3 laps, he may just end up quicker, but for now I think he'll be significantly behind.

EDIT:- maybe not, very slow in the final sector as he wasn't losing 5 seconds to Kimi around a lot of the lap, went off in s3 possibly?

So red bull are a lot stronger in the wet where straight line speed isn't as big a factor. Ferrari seem to be a lot slower in the wet.

Williams really seem to be poor in, rain or qualifying, not entirely sure. Soooo much wheel spin into the straights for Bottas as they were following him on that lap. So much more than most other cars. I don't know if it's a car setup issue, downforce, or driver skill in the rain.
