Malaysian Grand Prix 2015, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

Also not a ferrari fan but glad to see them at the top. My perfect F1 season would be a 4 way battle between Mercedes, Mclaren, Ferrari and Williams with Hamilton winning bthe championship by a small margin

I can't wait to see Christian Horner continue to moan about unfairness in F1 now....

It makes him look pretty bad and just proves what a bad job RB/Renault did on the car, instead of being able to blame it all on the rule changes.

Horner now comes across as someone just moaning because of his own agenda, whilst other teams go out, build a better car and win races.

Great race from Vettel but an even better drive from Kimi to finish 4th considering his quali and puncture at the beginning of the race

Agreed. I think Ferrari genuinely have produced a good car.
Last year only Alonso was able to make the Ferrari look decent, but now even Kimi is able to drive it to a 4th place finish (after being hampered earlier on).

Thats brilliant.
He moves teams out of sheer frustration of being provided with slowish cars.
He moves to McLaren which is an absolute turkey (if McLaren were run by Italians mass sackings would already have occurred - Honda and McLaren should hang their heads in shame).

Meanwhile his former team finally produce a race-winning car and his arch rival who beat him in a car which at times was upto 2 seconds/lap faster, moves to his old team.

It seems that Vettel is destined to drive a car which is consistently 1-2s per lap faster than what whatever Alonso drives.

And just to add, it was a comfortable win. It wasnt due to the Mercs running slow - Ferrari won this on merit. This year could actually be a contest and not a walkover, as most of us previously thought.

Ferrari have closed their race pace massively, the heat helped them massively but the main reason they won was Merc strategy mistakes. Ferrari have a to a degree, newer car, newer engine with bigger changes and likely more gains to be made from tweaking. I think this race is just an outlier, they are further back in general but they'll close further throughout the season.

You can't win a championship by hoping your competitors make mistakes (see Rosberg vs Hamilton last year). You've got to be faster, or else you are just picking over the bones of the odd screwup by someone else, instead of being genuinely competitive.

Last year it was Ricciardo who lucked into a couple of wins, but I hope that Ferrari can mount a genuine challenge, rather than hoping that Mercedes screws up a couple of more times to get some crumbs from the table.

Why are you giving Sliver such a hard time?
He is a obviously a Hamilton fan...I dont see what's wrong with that.
Or is this forum so serious that posters are not allowed to be biased towards their favourite driver/team?

Thank you. I like you a lot.

We tend to have a culture here that as much as individual posters may have particular favourite teams or drivers, our discussions are largely neutral and we avoid heavy doses of fanboyism. I think this is a lot more conducive to enjoyable and worthwhile discussion than wild cheering for our favourite drivers - something that produces a lot of heat and precious little light.

So what exactly are you saying ? I can't cheer on Lewis ? I have to be neutral at all times ? What sort of dystopian forum is that ? Is that the kind of forum you want, where nobody says what they really mean ?

Also, there can be no heat without light. So go simmer on that for a while.

It's the internet... it's serious business.jpeg

Anyway, good race, but what a total strategic balls up for Merc. Some observations: did they set up with a bias toward a wet race? Why pit for new tires after 3 laps, when you're behind a safety car? Will Ferrari become a hot weather specialist? Their pace and tyre degredation was impressive.

No, I'm suggesting that you tone it down a bit.

Fantastic race!!!

Epic job by Vettel and Ferrari. Absolute masterclass!!! :D:D

Exquisite.

I'd be interested to see who Horner blames now given his team were beaten by both other Renault cars...

Perhaps it's Pirellis fault?

I'm a polemicist, I make no apologies for it, it's who I am and frankly I like that side of me. I'm not toning down my passion just to fit in with your idea of online debate. There is an ignore function on this forum. Don't like me, ignore me. ;)

The manor marussia was never to be seen on TV, Bernie really is a nasty piece of work.

Yeah I noticed that. Like when he blocked any Force India coverage because they disobeyed him in Bahrain a couple of years back.

They ran, they qualified, they raced (one car). What did they do to displease him this time?

Don't whine when you get mocked then.

Who's mocking and who's whining ? lmao :D

We're just talking. The hyperbole is firmly on those who disagree with me in this thread, that much is clear, but mocking and whining, not seeing that to be honest.
