I still say go for oxygen and propane. Both are very easy to get. They rapidly expand once lit so BOOM.

Where did you get black powder from. Shotgun shells from a farming store?

I might give propane a go tbh as my old man sells it so it wouldnt cost me anything to give it a go :P.
As for the black powder i got my hands on 20 shotgun shells (from a farming store....). I've also got a bunch from fireworks as i was told that this was flashpowder and would create a more visible explosion, but tbh it looks identical, and seems to go boom in exactly the same way.

Hrm, first manly task of the day is strictly between the missus and I, but you get the hint..... (she ended up falling asleep afterwards it was that good!! :D )

Second manly task was to use a Briggs & Stratton 8HP rear tined tiller to dig up the entire back yard (all 1/2 acre of it) to help level it out. Used over a gallon and a half of petrol doing it.

Third manly task was to use the 18.5HP 42 inch MTD riding lawn mower as a turf roller to smooth the back lawn out. Used another half gallon of petrol doing that.

Fourth manly task of the day was to gather al the burnable trash (with my son) and to take it out to the burn bin. Teach son how to make fire the proper manly way (with a propane burner torch of course).

Fifth manly task of the day was to come in and ask the missus what was for dinner and where was it. She exclaimed BEEF in a rather gruff tone and handed me my first (of three) servings of sliced roast and gravy with mashed potatoes and peas.

Sixth manly task of the day was to belch rather loudly exclaiming to the world just how satisfying the meal was and light a smoke!! ;)

Tomorrow's manly tasks will involve taking the 1/2 ton 4X4 truck to a friend's house, scooping roughly 3/4 of a ton of gravel into the back, driving home with the poor truck complaining the whole way, dump the gravel out on the driveway and smooth it out. This way I wil no longer have to get up in the middle of my sleep time (when the missus is heading to work) to use my Toyota 4X4 to push her Neon out of the mudhole that our driveway gets to be when it's wet out!! :D

Meh, anyone that wants to make a big, visible explosion that doesn't know the home recipes for napalm and plastique is surely lacking in the manliness department, wouldn't you think? :D

P.S. I have both recipes if you need them!! ;)

Well I woke up to the sound of a Large car bomb about 600m from my bed, then some heavy gunfire followed.

So I just rolled over and went back to sleep,

Manlyness + loads

That's Swindon for you...

But proximity to things going bang doesn't give you man points.

Correct..... points were available however, if you had gone out there in your Spongebob bathrobe and morning hair, telling them to keep the noise down.

:)
