Man raped his dying stepdaughter

Thats just sick,

should be strung up and his balls lopped off, and slung in a prison full of blokes who are hungry for some dirt track action.

That bloke should die.

Undisputable cases like this the person should just be killed, waste of taxpayers money paying prison services for them. Just scum.

I think that is letting them off lightly.

I reckon all murders etc. should be put in a massive warehouse that can hold like 10,000 people, lock them in there, thats it. they can fight, starve, do what they want, just leave them in there. not much cost as there would be no heating or food, and it would only be lit by candlelight.

What are the others out of interest?

Slightly O/T but, if my memory serves me...

1) Vindication: an eye for an eye. A wrong has been done so it is morally right that the offender is punished.
2) Condemnation: society must show that it abominates acts like the crime committed.
3) Public Protection: offenders like murderers that pose a threat to the public must be kept where they can cause no further harm.
4) Deterrence: the sentence should attempt to dissuade further acts of this nature from being committed.
5) Rehabilitation: the offender should be helped to reintegrate into society following completion of his sentence.
6) Compensation: for crimes such as theft, the victim should be adequately reimbursed for loss suffered.

Those may not be universally recognised, but that's what I remember from reading a couple of law textbooks. They seem pretty sound to me, although they are not applicable in all cases. :)

So when did the assualt by her 16 year old sister happen? Were her injuries caused by a fall or by the alledged attack by her sister? I'm still confused! :o

Can someone clarify?

Her injuries were caused by her falls because she was drunk and high. Then other injuries were also sustained because of the rape.

I think the attack from her sister didn't happen, but that was first version of events told by the step dad. Then they found out the truth later.

Taking away someone else's freedom over what they choose to do with their own body, life, possessions, money, etc is the only true crime IMHO.

The reason why rape attracts a lesser penalty than murder is because there's then an incentive for the rapist to leave the victim alive, when there's less chance of being caught if you leave a corpse than if you leave a live victim.

he will be dead within 9 months , either murdered or from suicide after being subjected to hell on earth ever single day

he utterly deserves it too
i can only bloody hope so.

Sickening story indeed (still unsure how her "head injuries" occured though). Can't really see why people are suprised at the 9 year sentence, I would've thought by now people would realise that the criminal system in this country is just plain *******s.

seriously, this man must be executed not in a way of lethal injections , firing squad using bazookas or cannons or sth like that. I cant think of any other appropriate method of justice.

I don't believe that is the only reason. It might not be a popular view but I think rape is a less serious crime than murder which is why it attracts a lower sentence.

I so doubt it, he'll be released in what 5 years?

Probably not, but it's quite a compelling one given that it's almost as bad IMO.

The most shocking part is that he lived with the girl's mother and was a father to the teenager. I suppose he just saw the opportunity and went for it. Absolute scum, he doesn't deserve to breathe.
