Man Utd sponsor

Dont expect it to go on players though, repaying the debt will be the first priority.

How bothered do the players look?!!

Im not so sure.

Bucking the trend of some Utd fans I don't necesarily think that the Glazers are as bad as they are made out. Granted they are profiting from the name, brand, image etc of Utd but it's no different than when it was a plc.

However they understand the crucial element in paying the debt off is getting bums on seats and having an entertaining and winning team. They are not far off it.

I guess its all relative when you see the size of the debt compared to the turnover.

They look delighted to be working in the afternoon rather than sitting at home in their million pound mansions, playing xbox360 all afternoon!!!!

how shifty/evil does Park look :p

Not very... Giggs looks afraid for his life, and Ronaldo looks like he's just been told that he can't stay out late tonight.

I agree with the lower divisions comment. I was going to get my first replica shirt in a long while when the new sponsor came on board, now I'm not sure I want to.

Our lass works for AIG, they're huuugeee!! Not sure if it is still correct but at least a few years ago, they were the only insurance company in the world that had a '5 star' rating which meant that they would be able to still trade if every single insurance policy they wrote was claimed against!

Hope it means i can get a few free tickets out of it too.

True... The logo just looks very non league to me. :(

I know what you mean but its better than having some colourful logo
blasted all over the front, there was talk of it being blue at one point

I think I'm among the group that hankers for the Sharp days, and Sony wouldn't have been a million miles away in that respect, nice and classy logo and not something that looks like it might come on a box of fax paper.

I think great deal "UK's biggest shirt sponsorship deal" just awesome :D

Have to say dont like that logo though looks odd but hey its all good get nice money out of it. :)

Quite funny that pic above aswell dont seem that bothered :D

Inspired decision by Gill to pick the 2nd highest bid ?

American International Group, one of the world's largest insurers, yesterday agreed to pay $1.64bn (£940m) to settle charges of accounting *fraud*. The penalty is one of the steepest paid by a US corporation. :p

Gill doesnt really have a say in the matter. AIG have done some dodgy deals and are still being investigated for some of them IIRC but Mansion would have been a lot messier.
