You know what, you're right! You can't look at any arsenal striker any more and say that they can score 25+ goals in a season! For the past couple of seasons we've relied on our midfield for goals, it's disgraceful!

I agree with you, i dont think if Wenger went and spunked £30-40mill on a proven world class striker...its going to send us into massive debt:p....I dont know about Benzema as i havent seen much of him play but if he can score 20+ goals for us then id gladly take him but the problem is Wenger, who thinks we dont have a scoring problem...we do, we cannot rely on our midfield to keep scoring goals and this season has proved it...when Fab and Nasri arent scoring goals then thats a big old problem there because lets face it Arshavin is rubbish, Bender hasnt got a clue although he thinks hes still going to be the best striker in the world and then RVP who spends more time off the field than on it....and Walcott??...he has his days but isnt exactly reliable is he.

Its why im getting so fed up of Wenger and his miserly attitude in the transfer window...we need better defenders and a striker who knows how to score goals...Squillaci and Koscielny arent good enough that much we know...thankfully our goalkeeper situation has improved with Fabianski being pretty solid so far.

Arghhhh just splash some cash Wenger FFS!!!!.

I think Benzema was linked with Man Utd a few years back before he moved to Madrid, I won't pretend to know much about him but I think he did well in the French league, which probably isn't as competitive as the EPL but if Madrid and Man Utd saw good in him then he can't be that bad. I've watched him a few times for France and with Wengers preference on French players I'd have thought he'd have at least made an enquiry. It's like you say though Wenger doesn't think there's a problem scoring goals but when you're relying on Chamakh to get the odd goal here and there and the rest to come from midfield when Nasri and Fabregas aren't scoring there's nowhere else for the goals to come from.

Yep i remember Utd making enquiries about him as well, thought he might have jumped at playing for Utd.

Its quite plain and obvious to everyone but Wenger that us struggling for goals in the past few games means that we have a problem but one that Wenger continually ignores along with our defense too. Look at City, they paid £30mill or something for Dzeko the other day...hes a proven goal scorer but City went and got him even though they have enough strikers to last them a lifetime:p....it makes me wonder why Wenger is so hard pressed to go and spend the £30mill+ on a player who could very well land us a few trophies. He still hasnt replaced Henry...well i dont think anyone can replace him but still we could do with a proven goalscorer...someone who preferably knows how to put the ball past the keeper and not completely and utterly fluff up a one on one;):p.
 
Even someone like Bent I think would score bucket loads at Arsenal, natural finisher and the amount of chances they make...
