It's a sad day.

Being a hammers fan I have fond memories of Foe, he was a decent player and ways always warmly welcomed at Upton Park.........even when he was at City.

Some say he had a heart attack, some say otherwise.........all I know is it just shows no matter how fit and healthy u are.........anything can happy.

RIP Marc-Viven Foe.

Although sportsmen are terribly fit, they often do have problems which they struggle to overcome all the time, which is amazing. Remember Xavier Malisse at Wimbledon last year? He had, and still has AFAIK, a heart condition but he still manages to play tennis.

This is very sad news. It must be awful for all the other players. I really hope that there were no sinister causes, like drugs.

A lad I used to play with died in similar circumstances, he was the fittest & cleanest chap you'd ever meet. It's a real shame that in instances like this some people immediately assume that there is a more sinister factor (ie drugs) involved

Only 28 years of age too, very sad when someone as young and fit as that dies, News says it seems like a heart attack/heart failure that caused is death.

How does or how will this affect the Cameroon side in the Final of the confederations cup? I hope they play, put on a good show and dedicate the match to him, I think thats what most footballers would want things to go on as normal as possible.
