March competition (B&W) entries

The beauty of a broad topic such as B&W is that it can be a shot of anything. Its not like sports or wildlife which are far harder to meet within a month due to weather and commitments.

The whole point of the competition is to get people out taking photos. If you drop that rule then people can just submit old photos for years to come, and recycle photos every time there's a suiable theme.

I get that, but you only have to look at it die the last time. You only have to look at the few posts you get when people ask for critique against the hundreds if I said spec me a camera strap.

Anyway it's a debate for another time and not in this thread but if the rules aren't more open you are not going to draw in the new posters this section wanted or get anyone except the people posting in here that were already.

Each to their own, you can't please everyone :)
 
i personally like the taken that month idea.
some people must have loads of pics they can shove in
 
As long as the themes are open, then I don't think the 'must be taken this month rule' is a big problem. It's when you must take something specific within 30 days that it becomes a problem.

It could maybe be opened up a bit to this quarter, or this year.
 
Can we keep the discussions out of this thread - The title says March Competition (B&W) entries, not March Competition (B&W) Discussion. I think people would like to see photos rather than words when they open this post.
