ING logo's will be removed from the car but trackside ad's will remain until the end of the year.

Wouldn't surprise me if Renault had tape over the ING logo's on the overalls later on and the garage liners - getting new ones without the logos on for next race.

Add to that Mutua Madrilena have pulled out of team sponsorship too but will continue to personally sponsor Alonso.

ING were pulling out at the end of the year anyway - being utterly skint as they are.
They have just brought it forward by 4 whole races.

Yeah, but who is going to want to be title sponsor of Renault now? I expect Renault already had a few people lined up to take title sponsorship over, but I doubt they will have stuck around either.

Then again, Brawn have pretty much won the constructors title without any major sponsorship at all...

Yep, 'only' for 2nd place. But Mansell was never one to hang back and settle for places when another one might be up for grabs, even if it required him to do something like make up +20sec in 20 laps ('87 British GP) or hang it all out around the outside of a banked and bumpy corner (this Mexico race) or go wheel-to-wheel with one of the best in the business inches apart at over 180mph ('91 Spain).

My theory over 1995 was that it wasn't that he was too fat to fit in the McLaren car, he just couldn't get his massive cojones underneath the steering wheel

100m is pretty small fry compared to Toyota, Ferrari and Mclaren (and maybe even Red Bull ) who spend three or four times that per season, even Renault spend quite a huge amount although not compared to the other three (last figure for Renault I can find is just under $400m for 2008 season)

Renault where the first team to follow Ferrari in fighting against the severity of the budget cut proposals too (although that miight just have been Briatore, but I doubt it)

Honda didnt really provide that much budget in the grand scheme of things
