Mark's art for Shelter page

Green pens have arrived (still waiting on the rest) so thought I'd give one a bash.

Took about... 4 hours(ish)

how realistic is doing this on A3 its a lot of black?

It's doable, but I'd have to ask for a slightly larger donation (would use about £10 worth of black ink in it lol!)

The Hulk is looking good mate what size is it?
A3 size, as the reference was CGI it kinda ended up looking half comic/half CGI with the reduced pallet.

just a quick question are you drawing these from scratch or printing out or using tracing paper and then using the pens or makers to color in?

Elmarko so how muc for the pic will send the donation now?
Send donation after I've finished & your happy with the final result, but I've got quite a long waiting list atm - so I'll have to get back to you once I've cleared my current requests.

I'd also have to find a more detailed reference (As that ones a really small image).

Finally picked up the Robin Williams pic. Chuffed to bits, just need to pic a frame for it now.

Thanks elmarko!
Thanks dude, glad you like it. :).

From what others have told the thin bezel black frames with a white inner border seem to work best with the monochromatic style.

Pencil drawn roughly, then detail pencil drawn to split into sections based on tonal ranges & coloured using promarker ink pens (I use photo-shop playing with brightness & contrast to create the layers to draw), I used to do loads graphical design so my approach is a little odd (I take regular measurements as I draw each section compared to that of the reference image) which makes it take allot longer, but keeps the perspective on track.

Glad you got it & you like it mate :).

The most time I've ever spent on a single drawing that one :p, black frame with a white inner border usually works best with the monochromatic style according the people at my local art shop the last time I got a couple framed.

Ok, apologies for the slow updates & I've still got the requests in the que!.

Was finishing off a couple of work requests which came in a few months back but got missed over the last lot (inbox brimming with requests).

Next on list is Star Trek then a couple of kids & finally the Sons On Anarchy one - I'll try to get as many done as possible over the weekend.

Hi mate quality work as usual! Do you think you will be able to do something with the dog pictures I sent you, or should I take some new ones?
If you could take some new ones it would be great - with either a very dark or very light background - good light, reasonable contrast & closer up being the main thing :).

Not surprised! Have you got a time limit?
Not really got a fixed limit, just extending the just-giving page as they come in.

I was going to end at the first target of £500, but once it got past £750 I thought I may as well go-to at least £1000.

Once I've cleared all my current requests I might have a think about doing something different to raise money (better £ per hour for the cause activity).

No problem mate, i'll dust off the dslr and take some new pics.
Awesome, may be a while waiting due to the long list - all donations are done after it's finished & your happy with it (also due to the fact I can't always give perfect timescales due to other time commitments :)

To update - sitting at £815.00 (at least £200/£300 due in from work done outside of OCUK so over £1000 now (£1250 inc gift-aid) - thanks for the all the donations so far.
