Hmmm reading this makes me want this game may have to look into this game a little more.
How are people finding it? What are the 4 people unlocked when u first start the game?

Correct, whichever you pick becomes yours and the others are no longer available. The only way to test the other starting ones is to create a new account.

There is plenty of discussion surrounding this on the forums, so if we are lucky they might change things for go live, but at the moment this is how it is.

General feedback on the starters is to avoid Daredevil, that Hawkeye/Thing only become fun to play after level 20, and Storm/SW are generally the best starters.
 
Anyone else used Punisher yet? I think that once the scrublord 'control-keyboard-with-face' characters are inevitably nerfed, he's going to be a sleeper powerhouse.

thanks for the confirmation. bit stingy that I think, the game really doesn't make that clear either. has anyone ever seen a new character drop from anything in game?

i ended up caving in and buying the X-Force premium pack with Cable, Wolverine, Deadpool & Colossus yesterday hopefully before the bonus currency disappeared. i got the beta invite through last night.
 
I haven't seen any costume drops, but I only have a total of around 30 levels played. I'm still considering a Premium Pack - can't make my mind up, although the Avengers one is probably my most-likely purchase. If I could get Spiderman, Hulk, Deadpool and Punisher together I'd get it in an instant!
 
I am determined to play this game without spending money, and only play with the characters I get from drops.

Will there be an in game auction house where you can trade characters and costumes?

All general play for me, that is the way of RNGs.

Pookie - You missed the boat, if you had purchased a premium pack by last weekend, you got additional in-game currency, meaning you could buy the hero or two that aren't in your pack.

Sadly, that early bonus expired.

Furbs - No idea, possibly, though I would be surprised if it didn't have some sort of monetary aspect, and fair play to Gazillion, if you want to put no money in, then grind for your life.

Planning on this also, keeps the game challenging, some people don't like the grind but I think it would get boring quick having unlocked everyone and just leveling them up
