Marvel Heroes

Got Thor to level 30, he felt he was lacking something. Got Spiderman to 30 last night too, loving the dodge tank, got about 55% passive dodge, 80% when my spell procs so funny seeing tanks die in one hit while I tank a long longer :D
 
I have to say I am extremely enjoying spiderman he is insanely fun. I started playing ms marvel just for a bit of difference. She is really fun to play too, she seems to be really good at both melee and ranged. Has no where near the dodge that you can rack up with Spiderman tho ! I'm not sure which one to stick with though. So many Hulks in this game though its unreal :eek:

It's one of the reasons I quite like ms marvel, not a lot of people seem to be using her but she is extremely powerful !
 
Downloaded this and quite enjoying it. One question - are there separate servers or are we all playing on the same one?
 
Not to sure yet, none of the powers seem to gel but have only played storm upto 28 and a few others to 10, going back to D3 makes this look average...the only thing keeping me playing is the license atm.
 
Level 13 on SW, class gets more fun (and actually able to keep some foes off me) at slightly higher levels.

I know at times it can be easy, but I wouldn't call it insanely so. I die every so often, doesn't help with the rather OTT respawning :p

When I get epic items how can I tell if a green one is better? Or is it never better? Am I just better off keep upgrading my epics all the time through crafter?

Finally, if I restart story on a new character does that completely delete the progress I have made on my other character or does it stay set depending on who you play?

Mate of ours got an artifact that buffs all damage by 400, fighting powers, ranged attacks, basics... His Thor is absolutely overkill :|

A lot of it has to do with stats epics will generally give you better. What I would do is stick to either blues or purples. Blues you can upgrade to a purple via your crafter :) So pick stats you want and look out for blues with the stats you want, then take it to your craft and upgrade it to a purple :)

If you restart the story you lose story progress, if that makes sense ? So you keep all your warp points but the story resets so you can go through the story again for quests but most importantly, you can get the perm stat boosts again with a character. Which is probably the main reason to reset the story.

Someone nicely explained this to me on the Marvel Heroes forums:

North of Wonder Man (Guy? Dude? Ok...I didn't read the comics!) in the tower is a quest reset-er...person...thing.

You can pick to restart anywhere. As far as you have ever gotten, and anywhere back in time.

It does effect all your characters, in that if you are running Spiderman and are somewhere in the middle of Chapter 1, you will have to start at the 'beginning' of Chapter 1 when you reset for him. It doesn't remember exactly where all your quests were, from what I can see.

So if you don't want to lose what you did so far, then finish CH1 with Spiderman, then reset for Hulk

What do you mean by perm stat boosts?

Additionally I'm assuming it won't scale. So if I took a high level though I would faceroll it?
 
The perm stat boosts are what you get for doing some additional quest and boss's. For example when you defeat

Dr Octopus at the end (or is it towards) of Chapter 1
You get a +25 HP stat boost (pretty sure its +25HP) that is permanent to that character. So if you defeat said boss or additional quest with Spiderman your Spiderman will get +25HP. However if you then choose Thor he will not have that +25HP extra UNLESS you reset all the quests and do it again from scratch.

But you only get them perm stat bonus's once per character.

I've been playing Storm since the release and am just a gnat's short of level 23, but am yet to see any character drops.. Anyone had any drops yet?

I got Thing for one of the early missions, so should really play him, I would like to play someone else though.. And i'd rather not put money into the game at this point.

I just got something similar well sort of....when I drop below 25% spirit(which is often :p) I do +400 damage on my next power, plus it has +1 to all powers! :D

Dropped from Sabertooth in Savage lands! First time I've seen him pop up!
 
I've had 1 hero drop, boring Hawkeye so nothing special.

Spend another few hours on the game tonight, looking for to it, a genuinely fun game. I like how there are mini "dungeons" dotted about too that you end up auto joining with whoever is in.

I'm not sure of the long term last ability, but so far so good! :)
 
hi guys thinking of getting this wonder if you can answer a few questions first

is this game free or not is it one of those where they drain money from you for this item and that item

is it coop game only ?

is it easy to play on a lappy ?
 
- completely free if you want, you can pay if you want too, your call.

- it's primarily single play that I've seen with co OP elements.

- not sure, sorry.
