Got weighed at the gym today:


As inaccurate as the body fat measurement may be

It's so general that it's near on stupid.
It should realise that with a supposed fat mass of 25kg without any fat you would be just inside its high end of recommended weight. Awesome. You'd have to be RIPPED like mad to make that lol.

Yeah I know they're inaccurate but it's a lot easier to do than getting calipered at the doctors :p. I'm pretty shy, but that's not what's really stopping me. What's stopping me uploading pics is the lack of a decent mirror. My mate has a big one in his room so I might be able to use that when he goes out. I will get round to it. But I'm definitely overweight, 99.9KG at 5ft 10 I'm not gonna be defined much. But when I ask people to guess my weight they often guess less than what I am. Maybe that's just them being a bad guess of weight but I don't think I look as heavy as I am. Well you guys can be the judge I will get round to some photos.

Apparently it's my gluteus medius not being strong enough he said, he also showed me how to stretch quads, hams, glutes, hip flexors, calfs and adductors properly. Was a really good session.

Solid advice, i actually had a senetence about the weak glute medius in my post, but i took it out awaiting view of the vid :)

He doesnt sound like your average Bro so thats definatly a plus. I will check out his youtube channel at home.

^^ +1, we are a skeptical lot. Also we are quite blessed with some awesome lifters on here who offer great advice rather then bro science.

I hate to disappoint you here, and this is going to sound harsh, but I wouldn't take form advice from your friend. Just watcedh some of his vids, and he has made good progress but his form looks full of holes. His squat form is pretty bad, his inch or 2 above parallel on his 120pb is about 6-8 inches above parallel, his warm ups have terrible ROM. His bar position is neither high nor low, and he is arching his lower back, speaking from experience this isn't the best thing. Can't really see what's going on with deads but I wouldn't be suprised if his back rounds up a lot.

This isn't about your mate though it's about you, and getting you the best advice that is available here.

He recorded it on his camera so it's when he gets round to it, he said he would do it tonight. Idk man, it'll be here when it's here.

Your quite right and that's a valid point :). Do what he says and not what he does, as long as what he says isn't what he does :p

You're not being a douche icecold they're perfectly valid comments (except the fringe one, wait till you see my hair). Leave them as comments if you want. He is not the sort of person to get annoyed at criticism he'll probably welcome it.
 
Just to point out, there is a big difference between critisim and advice ;)

Uploading vid now. Should be uploaded in 10 minutes.

It's only 4 x 70. To be far I had done about 30 reps of 60 before and about 20 of 70 as well and I was pretty tired.

Also self comments would be:
- Only just hitting parallel
- And I think my knees may be coming too far forward.
- inb4 I need a haircut.
- chest needs to stay up more
- I 'fold' too much. Basically I think I need to be upright more.

The way it has letterboxed makes it look worse I think.

I'll post vid when it's uploaded any advice is appreciated :).
