Why the heck does it not give a difficulty choice when selecting new game? Just defaults to normal, which is pathetically easy

What do you mean it's not that type of game? Seriously you have no clue.

and you have an attitude problem.

ME3 is mainly about the story, the shooting supplements this within a world where your doing side quests and ranking up. much like skyrim. it doesn't need a diffuclty setting to make it harder - you dont play it for the 'challenge'

anyway there is a difficulty setting but it matches your me2 playthrough.

Yeah this new combat rolling, cover sliding, heavy melee thing isn't about combat at all.

The previous two games ask you how you'd like to play and now all of a sudden that's not the type of game it is.

bc its not that type of game? seems like an odd request

So unlike the previous too games then? Which both clearly gave you the option to set the difficulty BEFORE starting the game

No Hardcore difficulty option?

Any idea if it unlocks after first playthrough, or just none at all?

Under Gameplay in the options menu is a difficulty choice, you can change that to hardcore or insanity

I think you have to set the difficulty in the options before starting the game, rather than while starting a new game

Any chance of an HD texture pack update? textures are shockingly low quality just like in the demo.

Nothing has been mentioned, but there was one for DA2 just after that came out and they value the ME franchise much higher than DA so I hope so.
Graphics are not everything, but the texture quality in the ME games is unbelievable!

What REALLY annoys me is that they always do close-ups of the awful textures:confused:

Also there are ini tweaks for ME2 that improve textures slightly, not sure if anyone has tried it on ME3 yet.

Seriously nobody gonna call this one out?

Squark had a valid question which does indeed have an answer;
It's in the options! (As someone has already mentioned)

They even ask you on a new game to select Action/Roleplaying/Story and two of them let you change the difficulty between Narrative/Casual/Normal/Hardcore/Insanity.

I think it is in fact you who has an attitude problem if you make an argument out of someone wanting to make the game harder.
Also, telling someone you (everyone) don't play it for the challenge is absolutely stupid. I too play it for the story, but I also want the combat to be more challenging than simply wading my way through enemies as if they were made of paper.

Some people dont play it for the challenge so its not stupid, I for one dont have the time to devote hours and hours of trying to kill super strong enemies using dodgy ai just for a challenge.
'casual gamers and all that'

That's the problem right there, you think just because some people don't play it for the challenge everyone must.

didnt say that did I? Dont frankly care what people do with their time and what difficulty they put it on tbh, just saying for me playing a game bc of the challenge is not my number one goal in life.

It has a difficulty setting anyway its all a bloody non-issue.
