This one is about the media hysteria over the brief sex scenes in Mass Effect. Just watch the video:

Grr it makes me so mad. The panel basically go on saying that they have no clue about video games but then still pass judgement that they are all bad. Keighley does a sterling job setting the record straight but gets buried in the very one sided panel's hysteria. Only one of them bothers to say its up to parents to control what their kids are up to.

Firstly, the media needs to learn to get their facts straight.
Secondly, people need to look at their parenting before blaming everything on video games/rock music, or whatever is the latest 'evil' in the world.
 
The guy defending the game clearly came out on top. The first, and probably most obvious question he asks that so-called psychologist was if that she'd played the game. She hadn't. And from that moment on she really needed to STFU. Fast. She didn't of course! Nope. Apparently her righteous opinions were based on non-related research by a university in Maryland. Good job sweetheart.

Referring to Mass Effect: "Luke Skywalker meets Debbie Does Dallas"!?!? WTF is that guy on?!! They do more harm than good to their 'cause' trying to have debates about something they clearly know NOTHING about.

An embarrassing 'debate' from start to finish. At least they had the decency to get someone on who actually knew what they were talking about.

They don't actually talk about the plot, just the fact that it has a sex scene in it. So no spoilers at all. In fact all of their footage is from the trailers you can grab off the Mass Effect website.
 
There are always people willing to judge things without ever experiencing it. It reminds me of that monty python vs the church on that TV interview years ago. They will never try the game siting reasons such as they wouldnt want to be giving money to the makers it they didnt want to warp their mind... its disgusting how people can be so ignorant! This is going to get more and more frequent in the media as even the PM is putting his support against violent games.

They need to set and ENFORCE a strict standard of age ratings, with companies being fined and parents being diciplined if they manage to purchase it or purchase it knowingly for their kids. Easier said than done I know, but if we get to the stage of censorship then its a very sorry state of affairs

Still that black woman and the one in the blue need a good shooting. (the blue can have a good something else before said shooting)

What about all the dozens of American TV shows made for kids, in fact some even played by kids (10 yrs old), that are always about relationships and getting the kiss! Plus every freaking Hollywood film has violence and things that make woman an "object of desire".

An episode of friends is more graphic than this game, Every time you see Rachel sporting a tight top, You get nipple shots!

People really need to look into what they are arguing. They are arguing that there is sex in Mass Effect, Yes there is. But it's not graphic in the slightest.

I've seen more sex in an episode of Neighbours.
 
Her smile(woman in pink) was a bit too smug aswell, i dont think she would ever see sense even if she did have all the facts

I've done a study and concluded that the "psychologist" is a stupid bint who knows nothing and was trying to get her 15 minutes of fame. I mean how the hell can someone have an opinion on something if they've never experienced it?

I dont even see the point to that 'debate' if I'm honest, nobody was given anytime to speak at all, It's just you're typical American "News" network trying to **** stir
 
I felt annoyed while watching that for some reason. They don't really know all the details before they start ranting about how video games are corrupting children's fragile little minds. The statement about when the dad is out the house the kid will play the game etc. There are parental options on the xbox to prevent that if need be right? And the "pyschologist" just seemed to want to argue her point across.

I hate news corp, the most hypocritical set of *****. It's ok for them to publish violent video games page 3 and whatever else but as soon as some one else does it and they can jump on it they do. Lets face it the The Sun publish far more graphic pictures every day than what is seen in the Mass effect.

Watch the film "Bowling For Columbine" you'll find most of America's news channels are simply scaring the public into doing things.

It's very interesting. :)
 
One thing I will say, is I applaud the news reader for actually trying to find out about the game on her own, that's a lot more than any of the others did, they might as well have been debating time travel, they didn't have a clue.
