Yup thats no more than 10k people.

10k is still a lot of people, this protest will echo around america.
i think there is a big divide in america.
obama is trying to help the disadvantaged, while the wealthy elite are complaining about their country being turned into a socialist and communist country.
bundled with the fact he is black and the racists that want to see him out.
i also read how the population ratio of (white : other ethnics) is on the decrease. i think there was a thread mentioning it the other day

Could you explain the logic behind that one ?
It's quite simple - healthcare is an incredibly divisive issue. Many people (including Americans) recognise that US healthcare is an utter basket case, but it's been just been tinkered with around the edges for decades because no-one dared take on the job of actually fixing it. Obama did, and good on him.
It's an unpleasant fact we're all going to have to face - western populations are getting older. Obama is having to face it, we'll have to face it, and it's going to cost us all. Unfortunately the US people are used to low taxes so they're going to have to pay. They're going to have to pay more to clear that huge US deficit. No wonder he's getting unpopular.
I just hope he doesn't submit to lobby groups and actually gets on with dealing with the problems. Given past history, my hopes may be for nought.
Edit - and yes, there is lots of ammunition for the naysayers - "socialist", comparisons with our own system, and so forth. This will get worse before it gets better and Obama may suffer the consequences (single term presidency), but it has to be done.

He does some good stuff, but the more you watch the more you get the impression that he's the guy you'd bring to a party, but let alone to go his own way.

I thought it was brilliant. His delivery is superb and his material, while very simplified, is lucid and consistent. He's a compelling political speaker.
