Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

For those mug betting, bet on Russia to win Eurovision. I got in early and have 200 on Russia @ 2.50 as a punt since I love Eurovision so much )

Are you sure you don't love Russia too much? :p

They do seem to be the most likely to win but whether that bet is good value is another question entirely. Profitable betting isn't about picking winners but picking bets that give you a positive expected value.

I've always gambled the Eurovision since 2000, makes the voting more exciting, picked 10 out of 15 correct winners. The only way I can see Russia's song losing is singer error, there is no strong rival this year to get all the gay vote to screw Russia over like what happened last year. Well worth putting a tenner on for a mug bet.

Betfred has bet £10 on Eurovision winner and get a £5 free bet for Sunday, a good underlay on Russia for risk free.

Quite a few offers today for the final premier league games.

Also some of the FB tipsters (£25-1000 challenge etc)have been doing very well. 26tips in a row from one of them

Why do you need £1.2k? you can break it down into smaller bets.

Less obvious then too

I have a feeling the ladbrokes £50 and bet365 £200 are single bets

Like I said before, to make big money you need both a big exchange balance, and the ability to fly under the bookies radar (and that doesn't just mean hoping to loose your bets)

I've seen people get their accounts closed when they have always lost at the bookies. The reason I think, is that placing big bets with daft odds on unknown horses raises a few red flags.

Bet365 can be broken down. You only need to roll over the bonus to unlock.

Obviously best way is to lose the whole amount but you could do 4x £50 and hope they lose. Channel 4 Horse racing would be a good one as if the horse wins at 4/1 or more you can then extract from the risk free bet on the next race

Some top analysis there, looks like its 10/16 now :o:p

I'm happy with my analysis, spot on with public vote as usual, jury vote was all over the shop and not even their favourite won.

It is, the favourite is often losing here, I go by the package. Lordi had that and wasn't the favourite. Sometimes they line up (like this year) I rated Poland highly in other thread, public loved it too, single digit points from jury. I wont be bothering with my once beloved show any more if they keep screwing the public over.

No problems. They had a few outages early in year but theses seem resolved. They don't cover all markets like betfair but I've only got smarkets

I use them about half the time. I did realise for a while it had defaulted to settings where it didn't show my liability properly, not sure if this cost me any ££ in wrong bets or not, I don't think so as the amount placed was still the same.

I feel more comfortable using betfair, no idea why but the savings on commission do add up by using smarkets. Smarkets simple interface and speed at placing bets is good though

Good to hear some positive feedback, thanks! Guess I'll keep using them then.

EDIT:

Also, Stan James had an offer on where you placed four acca bets on BTTS (both teams to score) on Sunday and they'd refund the bet regardless of the outcome. Due to the bomb scare yesterday and the match being cancelled, they voided the last leg of the bet. The other three won however, so I've turned that fiver in to £24.77 with a free bet to use.

It could've been double that, but I could've also lost the last leg so I can't complain. That's a 600% profit on a fiver

I triggered that offer. Damn thing is , one of my ACCA was Everton vs Norwich.....the only game on that day (aside from ManU and Bmouth) where both teams didnt score
