Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Is there any real reason to swap from yesbets to OM now im pretty much nearing the end of the sign ups on yesbets.

Is there any other real benefit that OM has over yesbets?

How much do you guys make dutching? Anyone do it more than the free offers?

I've set up a few alerts for > £20 return on £100 and opportunities seem to come up once a day or more (only been monitoring for 4 days). You have to be pretty quick to snap them up but it seems like a simple way to make cash without having to worry about offer T&Cs and getting grubbed...

I've done 3 bookies so far and up about £60, going to sign up to Oddsmonkey too based on the reviews here so thanks all. Think it will be worth it for organisation, ease of finding new offers and to get the better value from the oddsmatcher.

I'm initial impressions of OddsMonkey are not good i'm afraid. I was expecting their 'Racing Matcher' to be almost identical to PA's Match Catcher but it really isn't alike at all. It's pretty much just the standard Oddsmatcher embedded with the correct filters applied. You have to manually hit refresh and they only update every 2 minutes which for horse racing is practically useless. You cant set up any alerts or anything either.

There forums are a bit of a mess too, PA do an infinitely better job of organizing all the useful threads.

Yeah I'm not sold on Oddsmonkey either. Only things i've used are the horses extra places matcher (which I'll admit was decent the one time i've used it so far :p) and racing matcher which is definitely not as good as I expected. I could do with trialling match catcher and seeing what it's like in comparison.

Forum is pretty much dead which is fine if it picks up but the good thing about PA is things like price boosts etc being very community orientated.

It's £15 a month so worth trying a month and see if it suits.

I've dl'd bet angel and had a dabble in sports trading which could combine well with free bets bit riskier than mb though lost £70 in play on a horse that started at 11's. It has potential though.

My initial impression of Oddsmonkey is, it seems to be a page of guides, each one linking to the affiliate links to the bookies. I'm just getting started so this will help me keep track of which Ive done as I can mark as complete, it's not as good as Yesbets in that on there you can type in figures and it tracks your progress. There's none of that here.

The forum is hard to navigate, I'm looking ahead at what I will do once I've done all the new customer offers and there's no clear path, just links to bingo and casinos which again are their affiliate links.

Many years ago I used to do blackjack bonuses at casinos and I stopped when they increased all the wagering requirements as they realised what people were doing. It's no longer worth the time you would need to put in to wager x30 on your deposit, yet these have you doing that to make a measly £15. Not too impressed with that.

There are however some advanced looking tools which are far ahead of where I am at the moment so possibly this is better for advanced users and those who have completed the new sign up bonuses.

Betting £5 for England to Win £7 return & £5 for Iceland to win £40 return, Also £5 for penalties £30 return.

So either way it's a win.

My prediction is that it will be a draw £30 and Poland potentially to win on penalties £40 = £70 profit.

If England win in normal time it's not a win ;)

Iceland are dark horses. I wouldn't be surprised if this goes through to penalty shoot out, England don't do well to deep defenses and with Stirling lined up to play who can't hit a barn yard door, I put my bets on a Iceland.

I agree that for me Yesbets, with it's bet tracking and reloads (matches already pulled out for me) saves me so much time and effort. It could be better I agree, but the chaps seem keen to fix and update things that are suggested, which I quite like.

Personally I avoid dutching like the plague, betting on close matches and arbs, combined with random bet sizes is a recipe for disaster. That and the fact that I often have to bet at some very random bookie from abroad to get the match is the final nail in the coffin.

I would be interested in their EW matcher tool though, that seems to be the unique bit. Skillmaster, I think you use it a fair bit? Made much from it?

Personally I love Oddsmonkey. The software is second to none. I think I mentioned in an earlier post I clear £20 daily from dutching and the EW matcher.

Hi there just a word to the wise play around with BetAngel in sim mode first till you get used to the markets and such.

Letting horses go in play is a no no for me as you've found out, I'd have just hedged out for a small loss rather than go in play, unless you're going to trade in play that is and in which case the place market at the end of a race can certainly be your friend :)

Sorry I don't want this to sound condescending but after this community has helped me, I'd though I try to help a little back.

100% agree -having done some similar stuff using Betting Assistant, ALWAYS take a small lose if needed before the off. In play is a minefield and can be painful stuff !!
