Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

What sort of liability do you need to make £20 a day?

Dutching normally ties up around £800 to a £1000 in my exchange (if I assume that I do around 4 bets to hit £20 at 105 rating etc). But the bonus is that its tied up for a few hours maximum.

So normally by the time the Euros start I am in and out.

If the bet wins though.......withdrawn and deposit /sigh.

You have to be quick with dutching, but for example today. I managed to get in early on the Sasnovich and Mladenovic match with a rating of 110. So picked up around £9.30 locked in. I think the rating has dropped to 106 now, but still around £6 locked in profit.

The only issue with early morning dutching is that although you get great ratings, there sometimes isnt enough in the exchange to match your bet, so it requires multiples. This is one to watch but the calculator is easy enough to read to work out if there is enough.

Also use rounding with dutching, to not make it so obvious what you are doing. The calculator does this also.

I try and do dutching most days. I aim for £20....sometime I hit more, sometimes I hit less. But it works out over £100 a week profit from it.

Am I missing something here? I thought dutching was backing all results at bookmakers? Why does it tie up your exchange balance?

Yeah that's confused me too

Signed up for PA's match catcher this morning. Have to say I'm very impressed and it's leagues ahead of Oddsmonkey's racing matcher. Will be sorting out all today's racing bets on my lunch break and no doubt i'll be getting a lot better matches than i have done over the last few days. Just hope I hit some bloody refunds today :o

Skillmaster could you let us know how you get on please, does match catcher set it up so you bet on the horse likely to finish second of does it still require a bit of work? Also how close are they to the accumulator software? I need to get on the horse offers to start getting better returns that's for sure.

Its so difficult you read the reviews, get feedback from others I just don't know which way to go or who to go with. Is oddsmonkey racing matcher even able to make you money? I am put off PA by having to spend almost £40 a month to get both the website access and the match catcher, saying that I have enough to buy the yearly access now if I wanted to both bits which is £22 a month overall if you pay upfront.

Isn't it a little over £30pm? Match Catcher is great (although I keep forgetting to use it :p). I don't think Match Catcher does what you say instead choose the races that have an offer on and which horse to bet/lay for in that race.

It's extremely simply and intuitive to use. I've just placed 12 horse racing bets in about 15 minutes, a lot faster than normal and I'd say the average QL is down a bit too as you see the good matches appear in front of you to grab quickly (it updates every few seconds!).

Lay stake is already worked out for you so it's literally a case of opening the relevant race (there are direct links to the correct markets on bookie and exchange sites if you prefer) and putting in your stakes. No need to open a separate calculator to faff about with.

In comparison to racing matcher where you have to keep going down the page hitting refresh on every single race (and you can't even see matches for more than 1 bookie per race which is ridiculous when there can be 5+ different bookies having offers on each race) and then opening the calculator etc...

What i've just done with match catcher is set filters to show only Coral and PP, max QL of -£1.50, max QL profit of 0 (no arbs), max odds of 10 (more than this less likely to hit refund) and highlighted each different race. Then every bet i place i tick off a race so it no longer shows matches for that race, ideal!

Obviously it can't show which horse to bet on as who knows what will happen but you can always restrict the odds quite tightly to get ones that are near favourites.

Will it make me more money? Well if I hit 1 refund out of today's bets it's paid for itself for a month imo. I can get a lot more bets placed each day (only have my lunch break to do horse bets really as mornings are no good) so hopefully more chance at refunds!

Sorry for the essay :p

Plus I'm paying £17.99 for PA so the two combined are under £30. I'm at £800 profit so far this month and I expect (hope) that as I do more horse racing offers it will be that high consistently.

Sorry my bad, early morning typing.

It's not the exchange, it ties it up in bookies. The issue comes with moving money when it falls into an obscure bookie. So far today made £22.34 on it, mainly on coral....not too bad a bookie to have it with.

Interested to hear about racing matcher on PA. Generally I have not bet a lot on horses yet because I really haven't read enough about the place market etc

Hi there just a word to the wise play around with BetAngel in sim mode first till you get used to the markets and such.

Letting horses go in play is a no no for me as you've found out, I'd have just hedged out for a small loss rather than go in play, unless you're going to trade in play that is and in which case the place market at the end of a race can certainly be your friend :)

Sorry I don't want this to sound condescending but after this community has helped me, I'd though I try to help a little back.

100% agree -having done some similar stuff using Betting Assistant, ALWAYS take a small lose if needed before the off. In play is a minefield and can be painful stuff !!

Yeah i intended to then all of a sudden it got away from me the lay got took before the off and then the price shot down as the f'er won so I went from a £10 lay to an £80 hedged loss rather than the £110 it could've been when my 11.5 back didn't go before the off I was screwed.

Well my bet worked out well with that engurland loss.

Won £40.00 from coral & £27 from Ladbrokes, total stake was £15 so a profit of £52.

Next bets

£10 on Portugal
with either a 2-0/2-1 win, with both teams to score
Ronaldo / Nani to score anytime

Total stake is £15 potential return is £45.00

I may put £2 on Poland, but seeing that Portugal are now scoring unlikely see them lose but then in this tournament you never know.

Is something like Oddsmonkey worth it for someone who already has accounts at most major online bookies and used all their first deposit offers up?

Been signed up for a while before the price increase. I guess that's why match catcher cost less too.

Didn't hit any refunds today though so I'll try again tomorrow!

Well I started matched betting again a few months ago.
Today I hit £5000 profit.
Thanks all for the help that this thread has provided.

I have spent around a grand of it so far......all I ever wanted was £2000-2500 for a new boiler!

Personally I love Oddsmonkey. The software is second to none. I think I mentioned in an earlier post I clear £20 daily from dutching and the EW matcher.

How much time do you put in daily to get this?

Interested as it's something I would like to add to my skillset later.

That is awesome, congratulations mate!

I started last week. Hope I can get to where you are. Are you only doing new sign up offers?
