Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Good luck, that's wide coverage :)

Have you just got gubbed by Ladbrokes? Seen a few on PA say the same thing, wonder if they have done another round/wave?

Harsh!

I have just accidentally done an each way bet with BFSB for a race they aren't doing an extra place for. They are offering 4 places as are Smarkets, should be fine right? Can count it as a mug each way bet.

Well I was going to do the Skybet 2nd/3rd refund but my deposit limit (set ages ago long before my matched betting) hasn't been lifted despite it being 24 hours as the race yesterday was 14:05 and I'd set it to be removed before that race. Rather annoyed

13 horses covered for the 3 extra places races. Had some really good close matches at first but some horrendous ones later on, £50 of QLs :o:o but I found £45 in an account I thought was empty and need to head to a BBQ soon. Fingers crossed .

That's some serious QLs :o I'd be wanting to cover an entire field and guarantee profit with that!

I've checked for a few more but realised my exchanges are wiped out after having lots of winners on Coral/PP over the last few days... £950 in pending withdrawals :(

How to you all tackle the Horsr Racing £50 Risk Free bets with Bet365?

I know that you can back the first horse and lay as normal. The second race you back as normal and lay as SNR. This poses the problem that you need to spend the whole Saturday at your PC. I have done this in the past and often regret doing so.

Is it not just easier to lay off as normal? Then you get paid each time you win but the next race doesn't win. Allows you to do all your Bets in one sitting then get on with your day.

I try and do those bet365 ones on the last race in the day if I can. Gives me time to place the freebie and I'm not too worried if i win again and miss it.

I made a profit and didn't ride them for every penny I could have. Similarly I don't always go for the maximum first bet.

Tbh I've made 50 quid off 5 races where there was a reduction factor at the exchange but no rule 4 at bet365. 10 quid a race on results I was expecting to lose 50p.

I had a good day on the horses today. I'd backed one at Skybet which came second getting me £25, then I'd backed four on different offers on the 1635 at Newmarket. Two of those hit the reloads for about £10 worth of qualifying losses all day! :D

Was wondering what happens if you lay more than one horse in a race? Just trying this on BetFair where for placing lay bets for 2 horses the liability shown is £19.00. Is the liability shown the total liability for all lay bets or for each horse.

It combines the liability. Makes it quite handy as you can lay lots of horses in the same race for a relatively small liability meaning you can cover more.

Thanks for the replies.

In that case then what happens should the lay bets payout? If I were to place the 2 lay bets and neither horse won then would I receive the sum of the payouts or just the highest? If one of the horses won then would I get a payout and liability?

Rounding up my bets from yesterday...

2x Coral £25 refunds
1x BFSB £25 refund
Flash Fire 5th in 17:10. Only had £5 E/W on but for some reason my place lay bet is saying 'market halted - bet cancelled'. I was sure it matched at the time

Ah well, my total QLs were only £15 anyway :D

Looks like I've been gubbed from Coral this morning too :( This is getting really annoying, I mug bet occasionally, not as much as I could but I thought enough, and with the amount the majority of my bookie accounts are in the minus overall I thought I would be ok. And I rarely bet on anything further down the order than top 3 on horses.

If I keep losing accounts like this it wont be worth doing anymore. Doubt i'll be able to use the 2 free bets I'm owed on Coral either..

Put three lay bets on the same race betting on favourite and the next two lowest odds. All three horses lost and seemed to make £5.70 but not sure if what I did was lucky or potentially dangerous or lucky and dangerous.

Maths check please!

I had £10 on France to win Euro's before the off - just did it on Sky bet to get the £3 per game win etc. £10 @ 4.0. Didn't lay it.

So going into tonights game if france win Euro's I get £40 back. If not - my £10 has gone.

however - if I lay France @ 1.52 on betfair for £27.21, my liability is £14.15. So If france win euro's I lose my £14.15 but win £40 at bookies - this £25 odd up.

If portugal win I win £27.21 from betfair but lose my £10 from Skybet.

Is that right?
