Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Been matched betting 3 years and for the past 6 months ive done literally nothing, im gubbed by most but the offers these days are far worse than the past couple of years. Debating cancelling my memberships.

Casino/bingo, more obscure bookies or restart with a partner account perhaps?

Placed a few top scorer bets at the start of the season, doubling down on Kane so was closely watching the game last night. He's a couple ahead of Sanchez/Lukaku (who both play each other in the last game) but @ 7/1.08 on a £25 (x2) stake - I decided to lay now for £272 :D. He will probably go on to win it but me and the Mrs can forgo ~£40 each and won't be losing sleep if so.

Dont do bingo. Get all the actual betting sign up offers out the way first before moving into casino/bingo/accas

The YesBets Casino Cruncher risk-free offers are worth doing anytime. Easiest money you can make. I've done two, cleared £200 profit both times.

That goes for any risk-free casino/bingo stuff TBH. Always worth doing.

Signing up to Casino Cruncher gives access to all the casino sign-ups, reloads, and tutorials. The unique bit is the risk free offers. Once a fortnight you can sign up for a risk free casino offer (subject to availability). YesBets will guarantee your stake up to a randomly generated amount. If you bust out, they'll refund your stake via PayPal. Most of the risk free offers are on sign-ups, but it's up to you if you take the sign-up bonuses or not. There's usually a lot of wagering if you do.

The upside is you know you aren't going to lose. At worst, you'll get your money back.

I'm assuming they use referral income for the refunds, and that the membership fee is their profit, hence the £50 cost.

There's a good offer on at the moment though; sign up for a year (£150), get Casino Cruncher, £50 risk-free BGO, £10 risk-free mFortune, and a mug for free.

If you're interested in taking a look at YesBets, let me know. The current referral offer is 30 days free (I don't think that includes CC access, but it might give access to the CC trial).

Just been slowly working my way through the beginner stuff this week and have made £45 in profit for not much work. Should have been £60 but I made a coupe of silly errors... oh well

Be glad you're getting the silly errors out the way early, we all made them. It's when it's on a horse for £300 that it really hurts.

Worst mistake I've ever made was on the William Hill High 5 offer. Put £135 on an 4.0 horse. Laid it off. The lay didn't match, the race started, and the horse had a crap start. The odds shot up. I couldn't get a lay on. Toward the end of the race, my horse was second by about 15 lengths. Lay odds at about 6.0 for a £45 QL. But there's no way it's coming back from that distance. I figured I'd just lay the full £135 and avoid the substantial QL.

The lead horse fell at the last. Mine charged home.

Cost me £270.

If I hadn't layed I'd have been up £405.

The moral of the story? In-play betting on horses is risky, and placing stupid lays is potentially very expensive. If the worst happens, sometimes it's better to just let the race run and suck it up.
