Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

I wanted to get back in to this then realised all my betting accounts were under an email I don't use any more..

if I open new accounts with the same name, but new address I just risk them being closed and losing any money on them?

You wont lose money as its not theirs to keep. I'd just contact support for each bookie and ask them what to do.

Had a good night last night. Rushing to do the Energy signup as it drops from £50 free to £25 today i backed over 2.5 on the man utd match, while trying to lay they scored giving me a £27 arb so made £77 altogether on that signup!

Over a grand profit since feb :D

Plenty of extra places on offer for the 15:55 Ayr and Bet on Brazil have a a good one - up to £100 free bet if a team in either semi final go in front but lose within 90 minutes.

This is my latest acca with William Hill, 4 accounts when I set it up it was £48.47 profit now I am looking at £56, last one on four accounts gave me £81 profit.

How do you make a profit on a sequential acca? Is it mostly from the small arb you have got on the 2nd line? If the odds moved the other way you're screwed aren't you?

You're taking advantage that you can make 80% of a free bet if one leg loses. The calculators effectively work out stakes to underlay against that insurance.

Just dipped my toe into yesbets.

I'm going to go premium in a few days, does yes bets do mug bets that gives you the bets to allow to make little loss/profit, but also look like a punter, or do you have to go around your self and look for the odds?

There's an oddsmatcher page, you can stick the details in (price, bookie etc) and it'll find you the best odds etc. all quite easy.

Brill, thanks. Made £14 yesterday on the corral offer, made 2 mistakes mind. Did 2 bets the same (my QB and my free bet) and did a bet on for today rather than yesterday. My first time ever doing any betting what so ever, but doesn't seem to hard. Oh yeah, one of my bets didn't get matched, so only won 10p. My mistake for not making sure the lay bets was more than the backing bets. Atleast I know my mistakes which is good I suppose.

yep, to begin with its best to take it slow. check, check and double check everything don't rush, otherwise mistakes can be costly.

Early on i got caught out with some of the signup offers where you had to Opt-in or enter a promo code and forgot so best to always check.

Just got premium now after doing the 2 trial offers.

My only concern now is, some of the other sign up offers require £200-£400 liability in the betfair account. What happens when you only have less than £100 in there? Anyway you can lower profits, to allow you to make the bet?

You simply can't do those offers at that level of profit then. If for example it might be the bet365 deposit £200 get £200... You can simply deposit less to make it something like deposit £50 get £50. Do the maths first so you know the correct amount to deposit.

Just so you know with those that require wagering you can end up needing quite a bit of money in the exchange if the exchange bets keep losing... Because the money moves over to the bookie and you then have to add further funds to the exchange to keep wagering that money.

Seems daunting but I'd leave those big offers until you have the funds if possible... As otherwise you're missing out on huge profit potential

Work your way up. Start with all the £10 free bets, then £20's, £30's etc. Its easy to make mistakes if you are new to this and have never done betting before, the markets can be confusing. So just take it slow, start with the small free bets and slowly build yourself up. Try and go big so early is just asking for disaster.

Should have said... this.

Even before I did the Bet365 £200 for £200 I experimented first with MANY other regular matched offers and two or three that included wagering

Always triple check everything. If the numbers don't add up... don't confirm the bets!

Thanks for the advice.

I'm not going straight in for the big liability bets don't worry. Just working my way through the sign up bets. With william hill at the moment, but can only use 1 free £10 at a time due to liability being £60. If it wins through WH, I will have to wait till I transfer funds over to bank, then into exchange.

Is paypal a lot quicker than just withdrawing into bank etc? I know can take up to 48 hours for funds to transfer etc?

Hi All,

Is the Acca Matcher (or whatever it's called) worth it? I used matched betting a while ago, completed the sign ups, made good money but couldn't get excited about carrying on with the reloads. It was free money but seemed very 'fiddly'.

The Acca matcher must be less fiddly as it doesnt rely on reloads but roughly how long does it take and what is the average return?

Thanks
