Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Morning all, for the benefit of those considering matched betting, I've been doing it for a few years and currently make close to £100 a week using 2 accounts where not gubbed.

I was just wondering, how do you guys profit from the bet365 2up offer and is this the same offer as PP 2up?

That's pretty much the only offer I hit at the moment and it's pretty profitable. Exactly the same as the PP 2Up, hope one teams goes 2 up and trade out at the exchange. (Or let it ride in the hope of a comeback for mega profit!)

Strangely it's one of the few I've never even considered! Will get straight on it using smarkets.

What max stakes do you use?

Annoyingly I locked in just before Palace scored. Always seems to be the way for me!

I generally stake around £100 depending on the odds, lower I'll stake more, higher I'll stake less. I try not to take odds of less than 1.8 unless it's not going to cost me any QL.

Thanks I'll meek that in mind as a rule of thumb!

What's general QL on a £100 stake and how often are these profitable? Would you do every game on a Saturday and hope to hit 1/2?

I was around £25 lock in at 2 up but with the best part of 30 minutes to go I fancied my chances up to 75-80 minute, got £84 lock in due to waiting a few more minutes :)

I'm doing £100-£300 stakes usually and I don't really look at anything under odds of 2 as it's not really worth the lock-in after 2up (unless it happens very early in the game)

It's all about volume, the more you can get on, the better your chances, I aim not to look at more than £5 QL per match and usually putting down £100-300 on each team if odds are there to take it.

There is of course some thought process into the selections after having done this for a while so I'm quite selective these days.

I find it's better to work out the QL based on the return from the stake. I aim for about £150 return from the stake, so odds of 2.5, I'd stake £100, odds of 3, £75 and 2, I'd stake £125. I aim for a QL of around £2 to 4. I don't like going higher as it can quite quickly suck up profit if you don't hit any 2Ups for a while.

Started this off properly this morning and have hit a hurdle already :(

Doing the Skybet 4x£10 free bets and it seems i've only received 1 x £10 free bet instead of 4?

Wat do now?

I've been getting a few emails from folks lately who are interested in this but don't know where to start. I'm toying with the idea of doing a one off course which I'll host myself and answer any questions, as well as any email queries afterwards. Obviously this isn't a business and I have no intention of making a business out of it but I think a fee of £25 per person is reasonable, no?

This isn't a money spinner, it'd just be compensation for my time to help others on their journey as it truly is a wonderful and easy way to make a bit of extra tax free coin in their free time.

What do you folks think? @Marky

Please don't take this the wrong way, but the MB websites (Profit Accumulator, yesbets etc) provide training videos which are really not that difficult to follow plus forum help. I think charging £25 for information which is readily available for sub £18 which also includes all of the offers, calculators etc, is a bit steep. PA currently have a £1 trial until the 12th March (start of Cheltenham). I would suggest people have a browse around over the weekend and then if they're still not understanding the process to then look into the more personalised training aspect.

Agreed, which is why it's an "extra service" so to speak. Yes there are loads of videos and tutorials but these don't allow people to ask questions, it's great for people to be able to be able to clear up all the confusion in one go rather than have a long, drawn out back & forth over email.

I'm not pushing it on anyone anyway, I'm glad to do it if anyone wants, if not it's no skin off my teeth :)

I've just checked out PA and signed up. I placed my first matched bet, hopefully I did it right!

I still think it'd be worth having a bit more personal touch and I'd be interested to know your story. I don't really get how this is sustainable once you have exhausted all the initial offers.
