Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

If @Diddums wants to take £25 from stupid/lazy people then fair play to him. The information is already out there and easy enough to find, read and understand but if people need their hand holding and he can offer a hand holding service for which he'd like to have some compensation for his time then fair enough.

Exactly. I’m not looking to start a business here, it’s merely a helping hand for those who need that little extra confidence, and a small compensation for my time.

So is this a sustainable income source?

It is a bit of spare cash, I did it over a decade ago as a student when the offers were much more generous (in addition to abusing casino bonuses).

You can quickly exhaust sign up offers but you will also get recurring offers. It is sustainable so long as you can keep your accounts at various bookies in tact and keep on receiving offers from them.

As for making an income, it doesn't seem like it is very lucrative these days, probs still worthwhile to go through all the sign up offers, I'd assume most people spending a lot of time on it are using additional accounts in the names of friends/family members and are perhaps earning below the average wage as you're hardly going to make much out of this these days on an ongoing basis even if dedicating serious hours to it.

Cheers, this is the sort of info I am after.

If I can make a few hundred quid a month with minimal effort. I will be pretty happy

That's what I do it for. Nowadays as the offers aren't as good as they used to be, I just put minimal effort in and get about £200 to £300 a month. It's nowhere near as much as some of the guys in the Yesbets group clear but I'm happy with it and just treat it as spare cash.

If i hit £200 in a month these days its a fantastic month! March to date im currently on minus £25. Feb was £70. Essentially because i only have casino offers left broadly speaking.

I only really do 2Up, WH, Bet365 £50 and any easy fivers etc. I got lucky on the SportPesa free acca last week. January was a bit rubbish and I made about £130, February I made £250, so far in March I'm up £11! However I've just had the B365 offer for Cheltenham through in my email which is £50 a day for 4 days which will bring this months profit up. I've never really tried any casino offers. I just averaged last year and it worked out at £213 per month.

Have you got anyone else you can get a second account from? I lost pretty much all my original accounts.

But that isn't matched betting? That is straight gambling is it not?
It also depends on if you sign up with the sites. e.g YesBets offer a Casino Cruncher where they have a limited number of spaces and they'll cover your losses up to a certain amount.

There's currently one where you use their affiliate link to sign up and they give you a risk-free offer of up to £100 usually you'll get about £50 - 70. So you deposit say £70 at the casino and if you bust out yesbets will credit your account with the money you just lost.

Yes. It's gambling, plain and simple. Granted it's with an edge and some people do quite well out of it but it's the stories you don't hear about that you should be wondering about.

Anyway, so far I've got £110 in free bets for Cheltenham and it's not even started yet. Some have gotten the Bet365 offer again (despite not getting an email, so check your accounts) but I haven't this year which is a shame. That one alone is worth about £200 over the four days per account, so would've been an easy £400 profit.

Come on diddums youve been doing this long enough to know better.

There is no black and white line in this game. A free bet with no conditions is totally risk free. Anything else is a shade of grey. Many offers in matched betting are not guaranteed (like 2up) so in effect there is a slight gamble involved (known risk). LR casino is similar but more volatile. I dont do high risk casino, thats too volatile for me.
