Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Care to share further details on this I am very interested do you have skype or email so i could chat further?

I'd rather not spend ages and ages on skype to be honest. With affiliate marketing its 50% luck and 50% strategy. Luck as in just spending long enough doing affiliate marketing to stumble onto a niche that nobody else is catering for and just striking lucky.

I stumbled into a niche that no other affiliate marketer was competing in. Got the site to rank fairly easily and by virtue of being the only "price comparison" site in the niche it get organic seo over a long period of time which solidified its position in search.

A lot of time in affiliate marketing when its competitive all the affiliate marketers just buy more and more links to outdo each other in search. Overtime this leaves a fairly obvious hallmark in google machine learning code. ALl the affiliate sites have all these unusal linking behaviour and its a race to the bottom.

Ive been involved in affiliate marketng from 2008-2010 and made a good amount of money but most of them have been canned after panda and penguin. The site I was referring to above was one of a handful of survivors afte rpanda and penguin.

@bingham67

for some background reading in general on affiliate marketing, you'll probably have to sift through a lot of nonsense as with all forums - take a look here:

https://www.warriorforum.com/

in general though if someone is making money from it, such as Golf1.6 above, they've often got no incentive to share specifically what they're doing for obvious reasons as you'd then be directly competing with them, so general advice is all you can really hope for, no one is going to hold your hand with something like this

ditto to anyone getting into betting/handicapping - the fact that some people are so slow to even grasp matched betting is rather worrying and I'd hope that those people won't progress to anything else

No worries guys thanks anyway i kind of half was expecting not to get the information i dabbled with this a few years ago unsuccessfully though. Problem is getting that niche nobody has and booming out of it got to be very clever to find the gap in the market as i noticed it very cut throat between the top sites.

I was shocked to see that the warrior forum has been linked above i used this site a long time ago and was full of people selling trash really and making a fortune off selling PDF etc with crap information.

Maybe i did not pursue it hard enough i know you have auction sites like Flippa selling websites but if stuff is really legit on there im not sure. I can see some sites with 80 odd bids so got to be a lot of legit stuff mixed within the rubbish i would love to buy a prebuilt package but im pretty sure it not that easy.

I think with lots of forums like that you'll find a lot of people with hidden agendas and a lot more who are just clueless... same if you go to any online trading forum... they're 99% full of garbage... just treat everything skeptically

Loving Profit Accumulator, two bouts of a few hundred in the last 5-6 weeks. Going to put a few hundred in a separate account and do it properly now I have the hang of it. Making money, stats and spreadsheets - three things I love.

What spreadsheets are you using? I was using the one from the MSE forum which worked well. I had a few other smaller sheets which were purely to know what stage I was at and whatnot.

I then switched to Ultimatcher 4 which I find vastly inferior, but then I'm not doing acca refunds and whatnot, only the easy stuff.

Oh and don't forget to mug bet if you intend to do this for a while :)

Ok, wagered through £4500 on blackjack for the Paddy offer - £45 up with £100 chips to come.

Also did will on William Hill slots today - turned one £7.50 bonus into £48 and on the risk free offer (http://vegas.williamhill.com/promot...cid=uki-veg-Gorilla5rf-oth-rfr-des-ptl-000100).

Got this on my first spin!

Did a few horse racking refunds as well today so overall profit for today - £220 - not too shabby.

I think Betfred have restricted me (with bonus offers). I did plenty of normal bets as well.

Took one look at UM4 and did not like the look of it, a bit overwhelmed. I use this one :)

I don't understand why some sites would ban you for only betting on their bonuses, even though they email you bonuses to use all the time.

they're going to have a marketing budget... they'll employ data analysts/business intelligence people to figure out how to best use that marketing budget and what sort of customers are the most profitable for them. Some firms will obtain external data from payment firms, online wallets etc.. too.

they'll then make decisions, using that data, to decide who to cut off - they're well aware that some people will take advantage of them with these free bets

if it happens to you just move onto the next one... don't get your knickers in a twist as an earlier poster did with his random rants about how he was going to complain to his bank etc... because he didn't get his free bet
