Got a call about 1/2hr ago from another friend, mate of mine is in the hospital after having her drink spiked.. wtf is wrong with people?! How did the idiot think he (likely) would go about it when she had about 5 other work friends (girls as well) with her?! Just gets me mad that people can play with other peoples lives like this..

Was she really Drink Spiked or is that an excuse for Getting too drunk?

That does happen lol, but if she was drink spiked that's damn low :(

She had a pint and dinner, it wasn't exactly a big night out just a little after work meal. Hospital seems to concur that it was a spiking.

Well it's lucky that she had some real friends with her. There are times when your 'friends' don't look after you.

Idiotic thing to do considering spikings can be fatal. Happened to a girl up this way and made me question why the hell people do it.

Seems more likely she had a bit of bad meat or something with the dinner than someone spiked the singular drink she had with her meal if i'm honest :p

I am also sceptical until more details are known.... Unless it took about 6 hours or so for the OP to get notified and post it on here, it doesn't seem right that someone has "dinner and a pint" at close to midnight or later.... Not disbelieving the singular pint but what else did she have? :p

Based on how frequently this seems to happen, there must literally be s 'fight club' (spike club?) type army of thousands of people who go round doing this?....

Or! Your friend had more than a pint to drink/ had a dodgy burger?....

She was in hosp at around 10, nother mate texted me asking if i was up around the time i posted then called me when i said yes. Not everyone runs to the net immediately when something happens :p

OP,
I'm afraid very few will believe you because I've been here before.
My daughters and friends often go out around midnight so don't have their very first drink until then so I definitely believe that bit.
My eldest daughter can drink like a fish and a few years ago she turned up at a party, had her first drink and 15 minutes later went missing.
I ended up getting a call from worried friends and drove round where I found her walking up the middle of a very busy dual carriageway but luckily it was about 1am and very few vehicles on it.
I took her to A&E and they confirmed she was spiked.
Much later (at least a year) I found out that my Nephew (it was his party) had found out the lad responsible and dealt with it.
