Hi all,

I'm in the process of changing the menu for our site, however I'm not so good with Wordpress.

Has anyone here worked with Wordpress theming and menu development or do you know how to theme? I may need someone to help me and I may be able to chuck a few pennies your way if you are good at it.

Let me know in trust.

Thanks

Customise it lol. I know it's all done through the menus but it's really the layout and look/feel of it and I've noticed you can export/import menus now.

If I export it would someone be able to import it and take a look and maybe help a bit if they up for a challenge. It's really related to the drop down and mobile theme. Basically it sucks balls!

Thanks

Most of the look+feel would be done through css.
Wordpress will automatically change to the mobile menu on smaller screens so that you can have different css styles for each menu type.

Is it on a public site we can look at?

It's not public yet. I've had to take it down because for some reason it's got code in it somewhere that was hacked on Friday!

Any way to clean Wordpress sites?

We got a takedown notice from 1and1 because the whole domain had uploaded files and we space was compromised.

If there isnt a clean backup you can restore to, I'd start by downloading a fresh copy of all the wordpress core files.
Then remove any plugins+themes that you dont use (delete, not just deactivate).
I'd then set up another site somewhere and install all the same plugins and themes then copy the freshly downloaded files to the main site.

It was given to a developer so I'm more than convinced they put some rogue code in somewhere.

Obviously I dont know any of the details here so I may be wrong, but I think it's unlikely for a developer to install something like that on a website. It's more likely that them being lazy/sloppy or not keeping it updated has allowed somebody else to get a way into it. These things happen, We've had one of our own sites hacked before (but we restored it to a clean backup, which is why i'm not too certain about the cleanup process). We use WordFence firewall on all our sites now as well as monitoring file changes and keeping permissions locked down (but that means automatic updates dont work so need to be installed manually)

@touch do you mind taking a look at it in private and see if there's anything that can be done? The menu is horrible and we really need to have it re-designed.

I have got the new site online but struggling with the menu unfortunately.

Are you good with CSS?

Thanks
