Maximum Operating Temp for HDD

Hi,

Was just wondering what the maxmimum operating temperature for a hard disk drive is? Anyone know whether operating the hard disks at high temperatures will reduce the life of the hdd.

About 55c to 60c is max and above or near that and your drive will die. I know cos i have a diamond max 9 series and they run hot, had one die on me.

Your welcome, try to keep them about 40c/45c and below an they should be fine.
