Maximuscle Cyclone

It's not a con but their products are generally overpriced compared to the competition.

I would advise taking it as suggested on the label which I am guessing is twice a day. As long as your diet is good then I don't see much harm taking a couple of protein shakes per day.

It's not a con at all, MM make superb products. People either don't understand that they need to eat enough calories to promote muscle growth, or they mistake the effects such a product can provide. It's protein after all, not AS.

Just to save you the embarrassment I thought I'd mention that Tank knows a thing or two about this sort of thing ;)

What he meant by con was that (and I agree with him) the quality of the supp is pretty poor and you're paying over the odds for inferior quality products.

The important things to look at are the additional ingredients (sugars and sweeteners being the worse) and the nutrional profile. There's no point in spending money on protein with a weak amino acid profile - you need/want your bang for buck basically, and there's so many poor attempts at "cheap" whey. Good quality whey will never be that cheap as the manufacturing process is dependent on the industry and if there's a high yield the prices drop, and vice versa. People go for cheap stuff expecting it to be crap and expensive stuff expecting it to be good - but 9/10 you're buying owing to label/product.

Before committing to any of it check the profiles and make a good judgement call.

Flavour is on the bottom of the list for me these days, it's about what I get from it that counts.

Just looking to put an order in at myprotein but I am pondering over what whey to get. I know the choice is down to what fits your diet balance etc but recommendations are helpful.

I noticed MP have True Whey but it seems to be low in protein when I notice they also have Impact Whey.

Has anyone used this True Whey as its description seems to promote it highly over the other type of whey products?

Cheers.

When all is said and done, whey is whey, if it's amino acid and nutritional profile is good it'll be just as good as any other - the big difference is price vs quality of the nutrion you get from it.

I can't drink Maximuscle Cyclone. It's probably the worst tasting thing I have ever had in my life, although I've never attempted to eat pooh.

The taste of the true whey is leagues ahead of the impact so it tastes like your drinking a nice milk shake plus it has some digestive enzymes and a few extra bits and bobs added which is why there is less protein per scoop, but as FF said as long as its not crap quality which neither of them are whey is whey and you might as well spend as little as possible

Cheers for that guys. I was just wondering if I got the Impact which works out cheaper, would I miss out on what True Whey was offering?

So is it, if you want taste get the True Whey or if not and taste isn't an issue, get the Impact? I might get both and mix if thats a good idea!

Thats pretty much it the extra stuff in True whey offers very little for the price and yep mixing is fine, I normally end up doing it because I find it quite sweet straight
