Hi guys,

Just a general question. If i maxed out my RAM on my motherboard would i be able to add graphics cards in SLI? E.G. Motherboard maximum capacity 32GB RAM, 32GB of RAM loaded onto it with 2 GTX 670's with 4GB ram on each, total 40GB asked many people and no-one seems to know

Question i have wanted to know the answer to for a while

Thanks

I don't get it..
Your motherboard supports up to 32GB of RAM (possibly more taking into account larger density modules).
The memory of the graphics cards (VRAM) have nothing to do with this. The only thing you need to make sure is that you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate.

Nope, when motherboard manuafacturers state that about the board they mean the amount of RAM (not memory in general) it can take.

Well not sure if you are trolling...but anyways the memory on your graphic card has nothing to do with the rest of the memory on your board. GPU memory is handled by GPU memory controlers alone. You could max out ram on your motherboard but wouldnt see the point.

Agree with Rossi~ the operating system is usually the main issue.

Home premium can only accommodate a total of 16gb including all memory on the pc.
