Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 80GB, Driver? :S

When you first boot the system, is there also a screen that offers you the chance to enter the SATA bios. This will be after the initial bios screen but before Windows would atttept to load?

Shall I get me coat and pop over. LOL. :p

haha, where you from?

I get a ctrl F for fastbuild, this does show the HD, not familiar with it at all though, im not sure about the motherboard, i do know that the HD is SATA and it was working fine, untill me, the supposed computer genius, messed with it, heh.

Ok then. That is the bios to the onboard raid controller that the hard drive is plugged into. It's a Promise Serial-ATA RAID controller. The driver file to down load is here -

Last item on the list and called sata48N.exe. It's a compressed file that contains all you need. It must be uncompressed and the contents copied to the floppy.

Running the Windows setup from CD (set the CD to be the first boot device in the normal bios) will work ok. You will need to make the floppy disk with the Promise Serial-ATA RAID Drivers on. Pressing F6 will take you to the screen to choose the driver. You've seen that before.

I'm about 7 miles west of Wolves.
