maxwell Titan 34% faster

So at least 50% faster than a GTX780TI?? Not too bad at all considering its still the same node,and the GTX780TI already had a big chip already(I suspect the GM200/GM210 cannot be much bigger?).

The 'cut down' version sounds interesting, I wonder how they'd play the vram card on this though. They won't have both cards having similar grunt and the same amount of vram, they also likely won't use a 256 bus, so that leaves them with 384 or 512. Personally I think the chopped part will have 6gb and full fat 12gb on a 384 bus.

Not the cards in the OP as they are total fiction.:D

When the real Big Max Titan shows up it will be around 60% faster than a GTX 980 @4K as this is dead easy to do. Get a decent 384bit or 512bit bus on the card and dump the crap memory compression used on the 980 which actually hinders performance at ultra high resolutions, it takes time and resources to compress stuff and is quicker to use a wide bus and no compression.

But yes when the real Big Max Titan shows up I will take 4 Gibbo.:D:)

I bet you are £10 out and the Asus version will sell at OCUK for £839.99

Might treat myself to a 980ti if that's what the smaller sibling is, if the new TITAN is 34% faster I can't see the sibling being that far behind.

Depends what time of day you purchased, iirc the Titan started out release day around £840, retailers then had a competition to see who was capable of the largest price gauging and it ended the day closer to £950.

Wonder what the memory configuration will be and whether blocks for existing Titans/ Ti's will fit?

If current blocks fit, I might get 2 to replace my Ti's, which although great cards the 3gb worries me for the future.
 
I paid £827 for each of my Asus Titans on release date/hour and within hours, the demand was so high, it had gone up. It was a lot of money but they have been awesome cards and at nearly 2 years old, they are still kicking the butt of many contenders. I would love to grab a couple of Maxwell Titans but I just can't justify it when the threee original Titans are more than enough.

I will add though, I can see this card coming and I will be very jelly of those who get them :)

Come on nVidia, release the beast.
