May I Introduce to You......(dog)

You might not believe this Ken but his kennell name is ......

Kentocto Mystic Iceman.

But for me it's Max and always will be, there is a reason behind the name.

Kennel names are always weird. My first bull terrier had the title Debully Debonair of something or other (I'd have to check his paper work to get the full title) but we just called him Eddie.

I've never seen a white German shepard though. I saw my first white boxers a couple months back when I was walking my dog. I had no idea what they were at first, I thought they were American bulldogs. I asked the guy what they were and he said Boxers, I asked why there aren't more of them and he said you wouldn't see them on the show circuit as they're not breed standard and are either killed off or the ones that are sold on to families are few and far between. But I remember walking away thinking "those are a pair of ugly dogs"... I suppose because I'm just not used to seeing white ones. Then a couple weeks after I was walking my dog through town and a wee girl screamed "eeew! It's a pig!" at my dog. So I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Edit: I'm not calling your dog ugly by the way. Just that the Boxers I saw were pretty ugly. I like white dogs, mostly (hence owning bullys).

I introduced a friend to my boss many years ago who was selling some GS pips and he bought one also called it Max. He's VERY big now though but very tame unless you're a stranger :p
 
Oh my god how awesome is he! I've always wanted a German Shep pup but my GF has always said no until recently, how much did it set you back may I ask?
 
Lovely dog you have there KaHn :cool:. Both my second cousins have white German Shepard's, great around children but I guess that comes down to how good the owner is.


Also as mentioned why the unnecessary stupid comments from some people:confused::o.
 
Aww a doggy, here doggy, what's that? :o whats that :o where's the ball?, where's the ball!? go and get it, give, give, good boy! sit! dogs rule and he looks awesome :P

I just think that its one of the dips of the forums coming soon, nevermind tho.

The dog has really good temperment from the two parents. Also I used to have a GS pup.

Is the white fur bred into them?

Does it have any known problems in the breeds of these. I know that german sheps are prone to trouble with their back legs or something.

I heard once that some dogs can be more prone to hearing loss etc

Yes, white dogs are more likely to be born deaf than coloured or patch work dogs, but the numbers for the amount of pure white dogs are actually quite low. It affects all breeds that have pure white off spring.
