May I present... my latest acquisition! :)

Let me get this straight, you have a rover, it's unreliable, you want a reliable car so what do you do, go out and buy a Toyota? Nope, buy another Rover!

Nah the old Rover was too expensive to run, this new Rover is gonna be cheap as chips :p

Btw far too many Rovers for one OcUK thread

i know you've previously used value for money as a reason why you like rovers

But are you honestly saying you cant find anything for £1800 better than a diesel rover 45 with some stick on tat ?

£1800 also seems a lot for a 400 diesel. Surely they are available cheaper than this? £500 sure, ok car for that...

The dude knows rover, he could probably sort a problem out on this with greater ease than a ford.

or am i being shortsighted?

also it is an £1800 car. it is hardly the most tragic waste of money mankind has ever witnessed given that it improves his situation compared to his last vehicle.

edit - i also think it is prettier than a ford

is there not some sort of knowledge base you can build up surrounding a particular series of car e.g. its foibles, easy improvments, common things to go wrong and how to fix them?

I ask because I know next to nothing about car mechanics, however I can strip down suspension and drivetrains on bikes and I know more about the intracacies of one model compared to the next.

I've stripped down and rebuilt Fords, Renaults, Peugeots, BMWs...with generic knowledge of cars...so there we go, if you know one car it's easy to understand another. :)
