Point based with annual adjustable quotas ought to be fine
Why do you think top-down, bureaucratic, state control of worker availability is a good thing?
Point based with annual adjustable quotas ought to be fine
Well didn't David "why should I do all the hard ****?" Cameron invoke A50 on the following day?
I hate super-threads, they defeat the point of having a threading system in the first place.
That's just your opinion.
I *listened* to Brexit campaigners, they made it clear on a number of occasions that they weren't an alternative government, so whatever positions they may hold, such as favouring a points-based immigration system, were examples of what could be done, not what would be done. Call that a lie or a half-truth if you want, but it's not really anything but winning the argument.
I know the raving slapheads are desperately clinging on to this stuff but it was.
There is no opinion there at all.
The point was that many people voted for things like this, when all we voted on was to leave or not, they are all being shot down one by one.
What the remain campaign said or did has no relevance to this topic.
Personally I'd prefer the discussion to have been more about how to better cope with immigration and free movement. The fact that people want to come to the UK should be a positive thing, it means we are (were?) doing things right. Most of the problems have arisen because the UK is woefully unprepared for the numbers due to decades of constant under investment in this country's housing, infrastructure, integration and public services.
Well if they did influence people's decisions, they did so more effectively than the lies and half-truths of the remain campaignStill waiting for that emergency budget...
No, because the referendum was about whether the UK should remain in or Leave the EU, not about which immigration system we should use. Quite simple really.
So much lol over all this
At the end we will still have free movement of people and access to the single market. T
Which will mean what a whole load of people voted for won't happen.. Reduction in immigration
The eu cannot let UK have free access and limited immigration.
Probably. But that doesn't mean there will be meaningful restrictions/any change worth writing home about.
...Her rejection of the type of migration system so many went out there and voted Leave to see implemented indicates serious backsliding.
I am pretty confident total free movement is done for.
