Maybe Upgrade

Go read this, you might need a bigger SSD too

Read this too

Thanks for that, yes makes interesting reading.

Just looking at some Reddit threads with regards to RAM usage for FS2020 and it can make use of more than 16gigs of RAM in certain situations but 16gigs will work.

What are your current visual settings in the game? Medium generally seems to be the most recommended.
Yes going to try It on Med now but I think Nvidia sets It to low for opt performance, went Into my settings In the game and dropped the frame rate to 30ps

You could also consider getting a 5700X (£270) and a cheap B450 motherboard, keeping your RAM and getting a new psu.

The 5700X Has 8 cores 16 threads and is a very tidy upgrade.

The new AM5 socket is going to be DDR5 only so very expensive. Rocket lake is also going to be expensive.

Socket 1700 has the Some great CPUs too, I just can’t help but point out how cheap a B450 motherboard is.

You could then save up and get a 4080 in September, it really depends.

Your whole rig needs to be improved upon to play MSFS

Lol I have so many windows open trying to see what all these things are, getting confused lol.

It’s very tasty.

12th gen very nearly made me ditch my current rig (in sig) for a 12600KF and a B660 ITX build.

I bought a surfboard instead.

Just know that there is 13th gen coming in September but it’ll probably be more expensive.
