Mayweather doesn't know how to answer a question

+1 Couldn't have said it better myself.

Only Hatton and a few of his delusional fans think he deserves a rematch with Floyd, he was utterly outboxed.

What would be a superb fight is Cotto vs Floyd or Mosley vs Floyd, but he knows there too dangerous, the mans clever he only picks the fighter he knows he's likely to beat, he's a business man, money mayweather. :)

theres money to be had in losing aswell, don't forget that. Mosley is looking ridiculously good though and hell, putting Margarito down isn't going to be making anyone rush into a arranging a fight with him.

But the point is less about who he might fight if/when he comes out, just that the stupid reporter asked questions basically Hatton fans wanted to hear, not a question a real reporter would ask Mayweather and people are acting like, he asked about Hatton he has a responsibility/requirement to answer. any real reporter would have asked him questions he wanted to answer, not questions he wouldn't then calling Mayweather a bell end for bad reporting. The way he responded is how any good promoter act's, he said what he wanted, not what the reporter wanted him to say.

iT wasn't even close to a "classic" fight that would warrant a rematch, its not a champion and the number 1 contender that needs a rematch. Its the champion, vs a pretender, in a fairly poor fight where Mayweather was SO FAR the winner a rematch wouldn't even be remotely interesting. If the fight was close, the title changed hands, or even if it was just a classic with Hatton going down but coming back strong and staying in till the end then maybe, but it was none of those things.

Ali vs Foreman, classic fight, rematch woulda been great, Mayweather vs Hatton, crap fight, not remotely close, a rematch is only wanted by a few thousand Hatton fans who think he could win a rematch.

deluded fans think Mayweather is still thinking about it, non delusional people realise theres nothing remotely interesting about a rematch. I would say theres now about 10 people Mayweather could fight against who would be fair better matches, far better boxers and will take far larger box office numbers because it would be interesting. 99.9% of the world knows Mayweather would win easily in a boring fight, hence, its not a big draw fight. If he's coming out of retirement for money, any sane person can see the bigger draw/money is in a Mosley, Cotto, or, one of a half dozen other fighters.

There's not answering the question and doing what he has done and being an absolute retard.

He could have just said he was retired and asked for the next question and kept doin that, rather than going off at a complete tangeant.

Had to turn of half way through due to his complete inane stupidity.

He did an old trick Arnold Scenwhatever started. If you don't want to answer the question, just give a complete different answer as if asked a complete different question.

It's bravado consistent with his personality, buoyed by being an undefeated champion of pure quality.

Hatton's "class" was shown during his pre-fight interviews - stood chewing a cud of gum, calling Mayweather a "poof" etc etc......the best talking is done in the ring, and Hatton didn't and couldn't.

Could not agree more, As much as id love to see a rematch and hatton lay him out i just cannot see it at all, floyd in a different class alltogether

He might act cocky and annoy the hell out of people, but you can't deny he is a great boxer. Hopefully he will come out of his 'retirement' and fight Pacquiao, not Hatton because I don't think he could take another beating.

That is awesome! For one he deserves to be that cocky and arrogant HE IS THE BEST! Secondly the guy was asking him questions he did not want to directly answer so he thought he would show boat a little bit instead of giving a 'no comment' no personality type of answer!
Wish there were more people like this in the world of sports -

It really iritates the hell out of me people getting on his back now, he's been doing this for over a decade and now just because Hatton loses to him they have to have a dig. Its what makes Mayweather Mayweather like it or not.

Ali was seen in this way when he was fighting, difference being Mayweather is a class above Ali.

Mayweather is a class above Ali.

Don't know if I would agree with that, the guys that Ali fought and some of his matches e.g. Rumble In The Jungle, are above the level that Mayweather has fought. And don't forget that Ali was banned from boxing in what would have been his 'prime'.

Even Ali said he scared of Tyson^ hahaha.

That's because Tyson was crazy, nobody in their right mind would want to step into the ring with someone who is just as likely to bite your nose off as give you a right hook.

Ali would have destroyed Tyson, he was all about the power and Ali would have just danced around him until he got tired and then struck... just like he did against Foreman.

Haha very true statement, although you can't doubt his amazing boxing abilities despite his sometimes dirty tactics.

See it this idea throughout this thread that is getting on my nerves the most.

If Mayweather called a press conference ABOUT his retirement, people went there and he refused questions thats one situation and dodgey questions would be stupid. But this reporter simply approached Mayweather and asked stupid questions. "he could have asked for the next question" in what world does you doing your own thing at a party and being asked by a reporter somehow mean you HAVE to answer HIS questions, and if you don't like the question wait for the next question. Its called freedom of speech, the reporter used his freedom to ask a stupid question, Mayweather, under no obligation in any way to even speak to the guy could have walked away.

But he's a promoter, so he promoted the people he makes money off, got their names on the air. He did a great job, lots of promoters will get their clients name in anywhere they can.

The ONLY reason you could call him a ******* is if he asked for the reporter to talk to him, which he didn't. Those who are saying he did something wrong are acting as if he was obligated to answer the guys questions and by not doing so was being somehow rude or stupid. But that idea is insane not to mention stupid tbh.

Leave the guy alone. AS someone else said if he had never pummeled Hatton, no one would remotely care about this "interview".
