McDonalds

I really dont mind the burgers at my local maccies but the fries are awful. Exactly the same complaint as the OP in that regard. Far too much salt on them overpowering the taste of the actual fries lol.

Theres abit of maccies competition where I live (hull) as theres a massive ASDA store with a macdonalds inside the entrance then across the carpark another macdonalds stone alone restaraunt :S The ASDA one does vastly better food though which is daft. The big macs actually LOOK like the picture which made a massive change haha

If this is true, then something like a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder is very healthy and a fantastic bodybuilding food (take note: Freefaller).

The problem is that, I don't believe what they are saying. Using pure, lean beef would work out very expensive.

In my local supermarket, when I goto buy lean mince, it is very expensive.

If you bought it in the quantities McDonalds do, it would be rather cheaper obviously.

They say they allow independent inspections of their food and their processes and I daresay there would be plenty of people ready to crucify them if they were found to be lying about their products. It would also be illegal for them to lie in this way. So yes they could be lying but I have no reason to believe they are.

Hang on though.
They claim that they use 100% British Beef.
They don't make any claims of what part of the animal they use, though. It could be entirely possible for them to use the fattiest parts of the animal in their burgers and perhaps selling the leaner cuts to other companies, for a higher price.

So, 100% beef could actually mean a very fatty burger.

The parts used have been posted 3 times in this thread over the last few posts :p

I take it you haven't read any of Snowdog's other little gems then? He comes across as a petulant little brat who, if he doesn't get his own way, starts stamping his feet like a 5 year old.

I'm a free person like anyone else, I don't see why people think they can boss me around... I don't do it so others shouldn't do it either.

You say I'm petulant, yes I am, against people I don't want anything to do with I just want them to leave me alone. Playing nice results in more unwanted attention.

McDonalds is brilliant! I've noticed all you OcUK folk are disturbed by anything even slightly less than middle or lower class.

McDonalds Big mac meal, normal size gives you 400callorie burger, 360 calorie chips and coke zero is like 3 calories. That is less than 1000 calories, which gives you 1500 left to play with.

Obviously you couldn't have it everyday, just like you can't have most things everyday, such as steak of pork chops etc. But it is super nice as a treat!

Dude, I love McDonalds. I love their fries. I love their Big Macs. I love their apple pies. If I could, I would have it everyday.

Unfortunately, I only get around to eating it once every 3 years or so. But when I do, I savour every moment.

McDonalds = best.

 why so rarely?

Because I know that McDonalds food should not be eaten regularly and if I start eating, 1 burger will lead to another. Another burger will lead to another. And so on...

Hence, although delicious, regular sessions in McDonalds is not good.

While true, there's regular, and there's once every three years - I think you could find somewhere in-between :D
