... i also took the insurance out at £7 a month i think it is..... sounds expensive but these handsets sure are dear to replace!

Overall its still under £40 a month which is £20 cheaper than my orange contract although they have started to match the flex t tariffs...

Can't you just opt in for the insurance at a later date? I know I did with Orange. In effect then you dont have to pay for insurance until it does break. OK so its nice to have the phone covered throughout the duration of the contract but every month that goes by hitch free is £££ going into their pockets for nothing.

Are Orange matching T-Mob flext now?!? I am soo tempted with moving over from Orange simply because of the attraction of the Web n Walk deals. Tis a shame there is no competition tho :(

Orange are the only people to offer this flexible insurance, as for doing it on pdas im not sure if they offer this?

Id rather be covered for every eventuallity rather than risk not being covered on handset that costs £350-500 sim free!

Orange have said to me that they are starting to match the T-mobile Flex tariffs but only for heavy users and at the non discounted price.

My bills are £100+ and that is not considered heavy enough.

ive been with orange for 10 years now but im afraid even with all the add ons and the insurance the monthly rental is still £20 less than the orange tariff i was on! and it offers 300 more minutes for the price!

Yes a 1 gb card would do fine.....

Catch me on msn to discuss the software side as it would clog the thread up and ill start a new one for software when i get chance.

Most of the good stuff you have to pay for but there is a lot of quite good freeware

Its been a while - are there any more updates users of this phone can tell us about?

Mine is still running fine and now that the battery is conditioned it lasts 2 days with moderate net usage...............

Other than that nothing bad to report apart from the lack of T Mobile rom updates

The GF just got a Pro and is really happy with it. I've just got myself a vario as I couldn't afford the extra for the Pro, admittedly it doesn't haven 3g but as the net is free GPRS isn't too bad.

Do you find the weight of the Pro obscenely prohibitive? I just did a comparison a moment ago, and it weighs the same as a 4 pack of Fruit Pastilles, a large pack of drawing pins and 4 ketchup sachets (it was all I had to hand). It seems a bit much for a phone but I suppose it's better than lugging a laptop with you everywhere

Just got the Pro last week, cracking piece of kit on w&w :) Was wondering where the updates are on T-Mobile website? i cannot find them at all.

Also did you all get a memory card in the box? mine came with a 512mb mini-sd card that i wasn't expecting at all!

im pleased with my mda pro i got about a month ago and its has no major problems as yet just wish I could find my bluetooth headset charger

Come on man, it's insurance. They're being extremely nice to you if they're letting you do that. Think about if companies let you do that with house or car insurance...
