Hey guys,
This Saturday i want to treat the missus tt a nice meal when she comes back from work.
the problem is... the door is hanging off the oven and British Gas are dragging their heals about getting it fixed.
so i have:
- A gas hob
- lots of pans
- a grill
- a microwave
- a 'top oven' ( its in the same place as the grill, it does the same job as an oven but SLOWLY)
Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent 3 course meal for 2? that doesn't need an oven.
she likes all kinds of food but im pretty fussy
Italian, English or some kind of Indian chicken dish would be good ( but not a curry :O )
my initial thoughts were along the lines of pasta dish for main and some posh ice cream for desert
not too sure on the starter though, borrowing ideas from 'come dine with me' I'm thinking of some kind of pastry, cheese and tomato melt ( i think i can get away with the top oven for these)
Fire away chaps, Im listening
