Meals you can eat with one arm

lol im sorry but this thread had me laffing, i know it must be horrible you will getg through it, hope it all works out ok...

so what to eat, erm, nothing where you have to open packets unless you can stab it open on a work surface. Thinking of foods that need no preparation - fruit springs to mind
pints :)
any take-away really

erm and as for washing up dear me, its getting worse thinking about it

is it a struggle to get dress yourself - shoelaces argh :eek:

I believe that it's only swans on the Thames, but I could be wrong.

Making food with 1 arm / hand is quite difficult as I found out recently. It is impossible to prepare anything that then needs scraping out of a bowl as you cannot anchor the bowl with anything in order to scrape against it.

Have you looked into any help you may be able to get from the NHS in your area? People with temporary disabilities can get things like non slip mats, bathing aids etc. on loan which may help. Try asking at Age Concern or similar for a phone number.

agony.

Luckily im so lazy that my laces on my trainers have been tied since I bought them and i can slip them on with 1 hand.

Literally can't put socks n tho :/

I did in hospital, but I was off my face on drugs and couldnt feel a thing. Also the socks had been worn so they were stretched a bit lol.

had my 1st shower since wednesday today. Got some1 to wrap my arm in a flannel then cling film then loads of selotape.

Washing the armpit of the only arm i can move is i proper monkey lookin mission LOL

Guru you sound like you've had major shoulder surgery.

I had major shoulder surgery 8 weeks ago. Its a royal pain in the arse having to use my weak right hand for things like wiping my arse, eating and extra curricular activities.

Still can't move my shoulder properly :(.

Elbowl surgery......

DISGUSTING PIC U HAVE BEEN WARNED

Looks a LOT worse than that now that the bruising hs come out. Bruised from my arm pit to the middle of my forearm, huge black and green/yellow bruising...looks sick :/
