Medal of Honor Above & Beyond 11 Dec 2020

Not playing £55 for a VR game! Especially when it doesn't even support smooth turning.

I'll save the cash towards a 3080 when I can find one at RRP.

Yep, snap turn only. Mind you, even Alyx launched with snap turn only, and it was patched in soon after launch.

However it does show a basic lack of research into the VR market.
Yeah just being reading this on redit after i see your post..Im downloading it but not going to touch it until a patch comes..If theers not going to be a patch im going for a refund, I hate click turn with a passion

Ouch, pricey. I think I'll be putting it on the wishlist and waiting for a good sale and some patches.

Bold to be coming out the gates more expensive than CP2077 lol...

No smooth turning in a game at this stage in VR is borderline incompetent. The game didn't really appeal to me anyway from looking at previews.

And now that we have the price and the early reviews, it appeals to me even less.

From what I have read, Single player is basically just cut scene after cutscene, and fade to black after fade to black. Example, you pull up in a truck outside a shop, [fade to black] then you appear in the shop. How terrible is that? Massive download and you can't even get of a truck and walk into a shop.

Multiplayer gets mixed reviews, some say it's brilliant, others aren't happy at all.

Head only locomotion, and no graphics settings (apart from low medium and high resolution.)

I'm very disappointed. What were they thinking?

They were thinking quick money grab using the Medal of Honour title to sell the game.

It's why the single player game is basically one big interactive cutscene.

I was actually looking forward to this but I'm not spending 2 days downloading it (yes crap internet!) and using up over 150Gb of space for this mess. Such a shame....

Pity, as this was one of the few big-name VR games to drop recently. I'm still waiting on Lone Echo 2.

Oculus are unlikely to make any PC exclusives after this.

I don't think i've ever been more torn over a game before. I can see just why the game is such a half ****** effort, probably been cut short on it's production and level of polish and shoved out the door unloved from the developer, publisher, and those that funded development.

You've had one voice (an oculus producer i think) promoting this game on reddit, who's been doubling up as a post release service rep. All that to me is utterly shocking, a release that is carrying a £50 price tag deserves a support staff beyond one person looking out for customers on a 3rd party forum that a majority of purchasers will be completely unawares of.

All those negatives sit heavy, and that's with ignoring the critical elements of poor design that Mike from the VR Oasis does an excellent job in describing, as well as being quite blunt toward it's post release future.

I'm massively disappointed by this, a game by one of the premier developers being flung out the way this has. A massive stain on the VR market after 4 years of hard miles upward progression, and a kick in the teeth from all involved.

Despite looking at the glaringly obvious though it's not like i don't see the positives in the actual game, everybody that's pointing them out are probably correct in what they're saying, and what is about to lead me to hitting the buy button in a few minutes.

I was just never going to pay +£50 for the game, and i wanted to fire that one off my chest after the last few day's seeing this **** show evolve.

They reduced the price on Steam to £45, ill buy that through gritted teeth.
