It arrived today but a bit late for me unfortunately as i only got to play on it for about 50 minutes cause im off to work. But from playing halfway through the tutorial and taking part in battles this game is the best game EVER :)
Ive got the settings ramped to max at 1280x1024 and i got the unit scale up to max and ive got thousands of enemies in one battle and still no sluggish behaviour this game is well made, and i cant wait to come home and play it :)

You lucky lucky *******!! :p I was going to pre-order but I forgot :o The anoying thing is that the stores round here have it in stock but they can't sell it untill Friday. Looks like i'll have to wait :(

Has anyone ordered the collectors edition?

Mine was sent today, should get to me for Friday :)

Collectors edition looks a bit naff imo, more bits to lose :D

So far ive taken over wales, ireland and nearly scotland then all is left is france. Ive stupidly sent my king and 500 troops off to the other side of the world on a crusade and the troops are disbaning out of boredom :p

I picked mine up yesterday and i'm loving it so far. I've already been excommunicated twice :(.

I'm loving all the little details like the fact then when you upgrade unit armour and weapons now you can see it on the battle map. also the game seems to run very smooth considering the difference in graphics with Rome.

Im getting this in 20minutes once I go on my lunch break. Then I'll hurry home at 16.30 and play it! Can't wait. Anyone got a full list of all the factions once they are unlocked from the main campaign? I'll probably play England to start with, then i'll play as the most south eastern faction I can as I usually do. As long as they have heavy cavalry im happy. :)

How will it run on a 5500FX 256mb?

Really not sure mate, however that card wasn't too hot when it first came out :p so I doubt the game will look pretty.

However it seems to run a lot smoother than the demo, so if you can run that then the main game should be fine.

Got mine this morning, been playing for a few hours but not really impressed so far. It does look a lot better than previous titles but all to familiar. im hoping things will get better.

This game is quite stunning to look at and runs well on my machine.... but it doesnt seem to be much different to previous versions though :/

If only they had done a version set in the Napoleonic era.

OMG I can get it on steam! Well I could if I wanted to wait until the 15th as its only on pre-order, be forced to install the steam and not get a proper box and pay $50+tax for it!

Think i'll go down the shops, pay less and get to play it without steam messing up my PC!

What is the advantage of the steam version? Cant see any reason at all to go for it? The boxed version is cheaper too!

You don't need Steam to play it do you? Steams a pos.

Anyway I dl'd the demo and its pretty good so I'll no doubt get it. I was going to get Dark Messiah but I was told I needed Steam for that  .

The advantage, um... it uses more resources, prone to messing up. But the real advantage is that your helping feed gabe newell lol.

If steam wants to succeed then they need to offer the game at cheaper prices than the boxed version tbh. Also not having to install their software would help a lot! After trying to install Half Life 2 the other day and battling with steam and waiting for hours for the updates to download from their slooooow servers I gave up with it all and remembered how bad it was in the first place! Thought after a year it would have improved :(

Think i'll get it from steam tbh, i like steam, no discs to scratch, break or lose, no need for no cd cracks/patches and easy patching. Net dl speeds are only going to get quicker so downloading isn't a biggie.

Edit: Just read it it's us only for M2TW. Damn u steam!!!!!
