Hope the shark actually does some damage this time, the ending near the beach was very anti climactic.

The books, of which I'm a big fan, took a very serious tone with the material but I can't help but think that, for a cinema film, maybe being cheesy/comedic was the only way forward as a film about a 100ft Megalodon which was trying to be "serious" would have bombed hard.

I recognise Wu Jing!!. He on par with Donnie Yen in martial arts prowess. Dont think he get a chance to show off his Kung Fu nor will do much against Meg lol :cry:

I'm all in. Loved Alten's books and, although the films are very different, I really enjoyed the first film. The paleo-nerd in me still chuckles at the Meg eating a T.rex though. Especially in such ridiculously shallow water.

I really liked the 1st one, watched it a few times. The trailer has quite a lot of comedy and implausibility in it, possibly too much. I thought the 1st one was quite grounded from a tech and reality point of view, in comparison.
I'll end up watching it anyway!

Had Deep Blue Sea vibes and I love that film.

This just looks nuts hah.

By the looks of it they might had just spoiled a lot of the good stuff.

YouTube suggested this to me after watching the Meg 2 trailer

Doesn't look much worse than Meg 2 to be honest!

That viewing area definitely reminded me of deep blue sea.
