Mega meet idea

The basic idea is good and I think a lot would come just that you car make then car sharing a condition of it

The issue is that people would be scared to drive the cars as intended and probably feel obliged to say "I don't usually like X, but yours was good m8". Good idea in theory but it probably wouldn't work out :p

true, there would be that too

in fact, we should all just bring a keyboard with us on the drive, then we will feel empowered to say whatever we liked

just looked at Culborough, is this more of a track day sort of place rather than a big open airfield ?

wouldn't a big open airfield be better, get more speed up and nowhere to go off ? This sounds just like a reduced track day rather then the original idea

curby is a small sprint track

if someone was to take my car for a run, i wouldnt like it to be at an air field where you could ring it out in all the gears, misjudge the speed (ie hit 150 when youd normally only see 100) and then totally mess up the braking and crash it

an air field is a dangerous place even in your own car as the wide open space skews your perception on the speed... put someone in a much faster car and youre waiting for trouble

curby is small, much smaller speed, much reduced thrashing, its ideal

is it possible to rent a day at santa pod? quite good to park up and look at cars, plus there is the strip and handling circuit for those who wish to let people hoon in their cars

I suspect something like Bruntigthorpe would not be that straightforward not least when it's a public forum. This is why VMax isn't publicised as loads of boy racers pitching up would not make the people at Brunters happy. They have controls on numbers and types of events I believe so putting an event like this on there I suspect might not go very far. Last thing they need is a free for all with smashed up motors and people in bits, it's not good form.
