Mega meet idea

Rules of Curborough dictate only 15 cars are technically allowed to run.

Plus last time I arranged it I struggled to get interest from you lot, so what is going to be different this time around?

Have you read the OP? the plan is some sort of compare/drive other people's cars, thats whats meant to be different about it, but everyone seems far more interested in driving up and down brunters as there are fewer things to crash into lol
 
If you really think I or anyone with sense or a semi decent car is silly enough to let some randoms drive their car then good luck to you. It's not going to happen.

On a serious note, passenger rides, I would have thought, is definitely a goer and then if people were happy to hand their keys over then let them - no homo.

We all have are videos, just not silly enough to be 'holding' a camera phone and record going down a public road doing a 0-100 in 18days.

Then putting it on a motors forum.

Blackhawk is a cool guy but he forgets this forum doesn't do the lovey dovey **** that owners websites do. Hence him having a breakdown and telling us all that he hated all of us :D

I am sure he is bright enough to come back and apologize to the people he insulted and carry of posting on these boards :)

Missed the thread but was bored enough to take a look at google cache. I'm sure he's a nice enough guy but I'm amazed anyone could be naive enough to post a video like that on a public forum. His comment about another member wasn't particularly tactful either.

Anyway, back on topic, the passenger rides idea is probably a better option, and would still be a lot of fun. Don't want anyone doing 100 on a public road in my car ;)
 
it think its safe to say that this is a great idea and everyone would be up for it on a passenger ride basis

I don't think being aware that many a idiot exists that didn't fit your precious title of being a "car enthusiast" and not wanting to hand over your car keys to anyone and anything because they are simply a member of these, the OcUK internet message board is a "out for what you can get" attitude, especially amongst the elite crew, I think its the attitude of not being a colossal retard, of which many do exist on these forums, and im not risking having one of them driving my car, let alone someone with a good cars car!

Im well up for this! Sounds like a great idea aslong as there are certain rules applied obviously.

I think there almost should be a rating system to the cars and in turn who can drive what.

For example:

1. If you dont want your car driven by anyone else, fine. But you also drive no one else's car.

2. Rating system. For instance, out of 10, Id class my car as a 4 (E36 318is). This means I can only drive other cars that are a maximum rating of 5. (Unless the owner is completely happy to allow)

If your car is rated a 10. You can only drive 2 stages below, so down to an 8 for example. (This will stop people with GT3's shredding a fiesta 1.2ltr's tyres)

3. If you put your toe down beyond the point the owner in the passenger seat has wet himself, your day is over and your permabanned.

4. Rating's would be judged realistically by the mob and not from the owner.

This is how I see it could work. Thoughts?

You are thinking into it way to much.

Just let people do what they feel comfortable with on the day. I will judge on the day if i fancy letting anyone have a go of my car.

Most likely not let anyone drive it and i already know that i am not interested in driving anyone elses car. I would be going to just chat about each others cars and have a nosey around, maybe a few passenger rides, witness Jesus driving a Cosmic Grey Type R etc etc....
