Right, its time to play the megadrive again! Have been watching videos of Probotector, ISS (International Superstart Soccer) and Streets of Rage 3.

I luckily still have ISS and Streets of Rage 3 in the loft (Streets of rage 3 is going for £70 ish on the bay!!!!!! wtf!) but unfortunately the Megadrive itself is broken :(

Anyways, will the Megadrive be ok on a HD tv and whats the going rate for one basically? Not sure i'll even be able to connect it up????

Advice? :)

see aldi were selling the megadrive game pack thing you can get from a well known asia seller.... Looked neat - had golden axe and golden axe 2 with 2 controllers.... SOR and Golden axe are surely 2 of the most awesome megdrive games..

Can the saturn play megadrive games?

Why don't you emulate? You'll get a perfect picture on your hdtv.

Woah, have just found a load of other games in the loft including the original streets of rage - that's going for up to £25 on the bay of dreams! Found Fatal Fury, Skitchin, Mercs, Batman, NBA Jam TE and Captain America to name but a few.

Unfortunately, it wasn't Streets of Rage 3 I found, it was Streets of Rage 1 :( But I know for a fact Streets of Rage 2 and 3 are in the loft somewhere (it vast). MAy have a huge search later on as the streets of rage still fetch a fair old penny for some reason.

SOR as already said, totally awesome. I've already played through it a few times this year already. The music is so sweet. MERCS, was another awesome game. Gets really tough in the later levels, and at the time, was a pretty good coin-op conversion.

edit wasn't SOR3 called Bare Knuckle.. or something in this country?

I use my megadrive on my HD projector every now and then, dont look too bad tbh :) but I did have to buy a new AV cable that had composite video and audio cables for it because I only had an old RF cable originally but that qas a few quid off egay

most of the sonic games are good, streets of rage and golden axe always spring to mind for some side scrolling 2 player action and not forgetting micromachines (Micromachines 96 is my fav!) for 2, 4 and 8 player party fun :)

Infact my sister bought me Mega Games 3 for christmas lol Super Thunder Blade, Alien Storm and Super Monaco GP
 
EDIT: stuff buying the console. Just noticed a collection of 40 of the mega drive greats are being released on the 360 - £24.99 and due to be released in 20/02/09 - includes streets of rage 1,2 and 3 so I'm happy ;)
 
I finished SOR2 on the 360 the other day.. My christ was it hard! That Mr.X chap just belts you with his gun when you get near him :(

Mr X is easy. Its his damn kung fu ninja-like subordinate that ****** the hell of of me on the harder difficulties.

Streets of Rage 3, now that game was utterly retarded. Especially that boss with the 3 Samurai beings.
