Megahalem has got competition...

Id never heard of them before you guys got them in the other day but looks to be doing pretty well!! I expect to start seeing them in peoples builds fairly often if its performing that well :p
 
Hmmm looks interesting, i wonder if it would be worth replacing my Titan Fenrir with this and a couple of Apaches in Push/Pull.

Otherwise, i think watercooling is the only way to go to better Temps and OC'ing Potential.
 
I malied them myself and got a reply within two hours asking for my address so that they can send me the bracket free of charge when they become available in 2-3 weeks :)
 
LOL can't wait for the Pro Meg tribe to start knocking the Alpenföhn Nordwand CPU Cooler, mine's better than your's.
 
Well according to this review the Alpenfohn Nordwand isn't as good as the thermolab baram

the thermolab has a excellent review here

'The most astounding observation was the fact that it out-competed the NH-U12P by over 4 degrees at loads, proving Thermolab's use of the heat sink design to be more efficient'

I was gonna say, Krooton, get the Thermolab Baram instead if you're not planning to use the Alpenfohn fan. The beauty of the Nordwand is that it's a Noctua beater without having to rely on the Push/pull setup, while being much cheaper. But otherwise the Baram is better!

The advantage of the way the fans mount to the Nordwand means that fans of any thicknesses can be used without needing different wire clips etc.

tywyn: It's good to hear of their quality service. It's one of the reasons the cooler earned its Gold Award!

Indeed Helios, I was most impressed with their quick reply seeing as I explained I didn't speak German as their site was in their native language. I really am torn now between the Nordwand and the Thermolab as customer service is importanat to me, and that's why I always buy Western Digital HDD's

Did you need to send proof of purchase to get the offer of a bracket? Not that it will take me long to get such proof; I'm just curious as to whether I should ask the question immediately. :)

In answer to your question, no I didn't need proof of purchase as I had just stated that I was interested in purchasing the Norwand and asked as to when the bracket would be available.

If you need it for an 1156 setup then definitely go for the Nordwand! I don't think the Thermolab has 1156 support yet.
