Memory foam beds

Had my Tempura for 10 years and its still awesome, had a waterbed before, but couldnt live without the memory foam now.

As for them being hot, thats true for about the 1st week or so but have never had a problem since.

Dont waste your money on a MF pillow though, they are crap, get yourself a microbead one they are awesome.

Oh forgot to mention, Tempur are still doing a 60 day free trial, which is plenty of time to tell wether the mattress suits you or not.

I have a memory foam mattress. I used to sleep quite poorly but on this it is literally like a dream. So comfortable, I rarely want to get up.

try a memory foam topper, gets the best of both worlds (sprung and foam)which means the mattress can be turned, my sleep is pretty much uninterrupted unless, kids, weather wake me.
and reasonably cheap

Our whole family has switched over to new beds in the last few months.

Pocket spring with memory foam top layer.

Admittedly my old beloved bed (remember the hippo and the duck adverts on tv) was old and had to have springs covered by old towels to avoid injury.

But I am sleeping so much better now and never wake up with aches, pains, numbness, tingling hands cricked neck etc anymore.

Pocket spring with memory foam top layer (from Dreams actually - think I should be able to say that here)

I need a new matress/bed sadly in a rented accommodation not sure where I stand, currently I wake up every morning in agony, my back just really really hurts!

Reckon I could get the landlord to replace the bed/matress or is it futile? One thing I have always hated and it is cheap beds/matresses from IKEA etc.

I only got the new foam mattress a couple of days ago and although it's a lot firmer than a normal mattress I love it, I get such deep sleep now I only need 6 hours and I feel refreshed as anything in the morning. Brilliant stuff.

My sister and her husband have one of these breathable memory foam mattress toppers (cheaper than a whole memory foam mattress) - they love it and say they don't get hot sleeping in it. I wouldn't get one purely because I would be worried about getting too hot as I do without one! I do like the idea, however, of sleeping on a softer surface that moulds to your body shape, so have been ummming and aaaaahing about getting one of these feather and down mattress toppers instead. At least it will be naturally 'breathable', unlike a great lump of foam!!!

As I understand it mattress toppers are supposed to help those people who move around in bed a lot (when asleep!) as they attempt to get more comfortable, so that they actually lie still as they sleep and therefore get a better quality of sleep. This is the theory - but is it true?

Nothing beats a good quality 2000+ pocket sprung matress, they are 100000x comfier than this memory foam rubbish, its just a gimmick in my opinion!

It's not a gimmick at all, memory foam has been getting steadily more popular for over 10 years. Cheap memory foam isn't great compared to a quality pocket sprung product but if you get top quality memory foam then they're great. Pocket sprung with a memory foam top are very popular these days too.

Owned a memory foam bed for 5 years now, not cheap.

Getting used to it now, its still warm after a trip to the loo in the night, something my old bed never did.

I actually bought a full memory phone mattress (and new frame) the other week and the one I went for came with the outlast cover.

I can't remember the exact name of the mattress but it was something 1000 which was basically 20 cm thick, 10 cm memory foam and 10 cm normal foam.

It's 100% the best purchase I have made in the last 10 years!

I got a kingsize one with the outlast cover and 2 outlast memory foam pillows thrown in for free for £479.

The last week has been the best sleeping nights I have ever had!

I echo this!

Got a topper a year ago, best £70 I ever spent :)

Turns a crap mattress into an average mattress, and an average mattress into a great mattress. As a renter, it's a bonus that I can take it with me whenever I move.

Mum & Dad bought me a memory foam topper as part of my 21st Bday present :D (Saturday..)

Sooo comfortable to sleep on, first night I woke up and my back felt v.weird due to the different position I'd been sleeping in.

I don't want to get out of bed in the morning now! \o/

I'd just like to add that they are awesome and even better for sex :)
Well worth investing.

A girl I was rodgering had a memory foam top to her matress. It was good as it meant she was sunk in good and proper! However I found them to be quite hot to sleep on. Don't think they take to semen too well either:p

As long as it is both a good quality mattress and a good quality memory foam topper.

This is what we have done and at first I hated it (prefer very firm matresses normally) and the wife loved it. Now I also love it!
